Friday Fave: Fresh Produce Clothing Helps Me Break Out of Black at Type A Parent Conference (w. giveaway)

Leticia June 17, 2011 70 Comments »

A couple of weeks ago I was in wardrobe distress after realizing that most of my conference clothes were all the same— some version of a black dress.  Soon after, Fresh Produce reached out to me having recognized my fashion emergency and I couldn’t have been more thrilled with their offer to help me break away from black and brighten me up as my clothing sponsor for next week’s Type A Parent Conference!
As my conference sponsor, I’ll be clad in Fresh Produce throughout the conference!  For 5 days I’ll be sporting looks that need to go from day to night while being professional enough for my panel (Collaboration That Pays, Thursday 2-2:45 pm) and fun for patio parties and dinners out yet comfortable enough for a Just Dance 2 battle.

The popsicle colored hues are a huge departure from my classic conference wardrobe but I’m ready for the change and excited about what I’ll be wearing!  Take a look at the colorful dresses that will be part of my conference looks!

Pintuck Tank Dress in Thistle ($59)
Rio Malibu Maxie Dress in South Beach Blue ($89)

Santa Barbara Cardigan in Tropical Punch ($62)

Wrap Me Up Dress in Tropical Punch ($89)

Cafe Wrap Dress in Sunrise ($69)
Bali Shine-On Shirt Dress ($54) and
Basic Leggings in Oyster ($29)
I can’t wait to wear be colorful in dresses of light lilac purple, deep blue, bright pink, and sunny orange!  The Bali Shine-On Shirt Dress and leggings are the only outfit not in a bright color but will make for a perfect travel outfit on Sunday when I’m ready to head home after days of networking and learning and evenings with dinners and parties.
GIVEAWAY: My mother taught me that those who care share and I’m thrilled be giving away a Pintuck Dress in your choice of color courtesy of Fresh Produce!
TO ENTER: Visit the Fresh Produce website and share your favorite outfit from their 2011 collection.  Leave the name of your favorite and a link to it in your comment anytime before July 4.  With party dresses, women’s cardigans, women’s tunics, and more, Fresh Produce has something for everyone!  Eligible entries must include your email address or Twitter handle so I can contact you when you win.
For extra entries, complete the above and any of the following:
  • Leave a comment sharing where you would wear your favorite Fresh Produce outfit if you were to win it from this giveaway
  • Follow @FreshProduceNow on Twitter and let me know in your comment
  • Tweet this daily and leave a link to your Tweet in your comment: @TechSavvyMama is going colorful w/ @FreshProduceNow & has #giveaway for Pintuck Dress: http://bit.ly/kLvjdk #freshproducetypea
Attending Type A Parent next week?  Look for me clad in any of the outfits above and enter to win by taking a photo with me in one of my looks and tweeting it to @FreshProduceNow and @TechSavvyMama with the #freshproducetypea hashtag.  Since I’ll be wearing 5 different Fresh Produce looks, find me each day to maximize your chances of winning!

Fresh Produce is also holding fashion shows at their trunk show at locations around the country, including the Historic Biltmore Village on Thursday, June 23.  At the event, customers will have a card with photos of the outfits/items to follow along during the presentation so they can circle items they see and they want to try on. After the show, the store team will help customers find and try on their favorites while enjoying snacks and refreshments and entering a drawing for a $50 gift card.

Here are the details:
What: Fresh Produce Trunk Show
Where: Historic Biltmore Village (and other participating locations)
18 Lodge Street
Asheville, North Carolina 28803
828-505-777
When: Thursday June 23rd with fashion show times at 4:30 & 6:30pm.
Can’t make it to the trunk show? Fresh Produce is available for purchase online and over 400 specialty boutiques.  Their clothes also ship to over 200 countries internationally!
Fine print: A winner will be selected from all eligible entries on July 4.  Winner must provide name, U.S. mailing address and phone number for shipping purposes, along with requested size within 24 hours of being contacted or another winner will be chosen.  We regret that 1st choice of color might not be available due to available stock.  Leticia- Tech Savvy Mama and Fresh Produce are not responsible for items lost, delayed, or damaged during shipping.

I love the convertible skirt/dress so much (I’m buying no matter whether I win or not): http://freshproduceclothes.com/dresses/travel-dress-cover-up-skirt.html My first thought was to order in black but in solidarity with your branching out I’m going for white! I’ll wear it on a date night with my husband or a family BBQ this summer. (The strapless style will make nursing the baby easy and it looks like it will accommodate me whether I’m still packing the baby weight or gradually lose a few lbs this summer).

My favorite outfit from their 2011 collection is the Monterey shirt (white)-(http://freshproduceclothes.com/monterey-shirt.html) with the What-it-seams skirt (also in white)-(http://freshproduceclothes.com/what-it-seams-swing-skirt.html). I like how they paired it with the orange cami in the pic for their 2011 collection.
