Shari’s Berries: Delicious Chocolate Dipped Berries Delivered

Chocolate covered strawberries are always a treat whether we make them ourselves or indulge in gourmet pre-dipped ones and the ones we received from Shari’s Berries are absolutely delicious.

“The combination between the chocolate and the strawberries is sort of like, heavenly,” said Little Miss Techie dreamily when I asked her to describe the berries.

We ordered the two full dozen gourmet dipped and swizzled strawberries. Each of the large, fresh gorgeous berries was dipped in either milk, dark, or white chocolate and featured contrasting stripes for the swizzle. The chocolate on the strawberries was just the right thickness. Easy to bite into yet not an overwhelming amount that would take away from the flavor of the perfectly ripe strawberry.

I always examine strawberry stems for freshness whether shopping at my local farmer’s market or at the store. I was impressed with how bright green and alive the leaves of the chocolate covered strawberries were.

The presentation of the strawberries is stunning. Unboxing them certainly builds anticipation before getting to the sweet treats presented in a Shari’s Berries box with a white bow.

The packaging protects the strawberries during overnight delivery. Dipped berries arrive cradled in slanted compartments on doily-like papers that not only ensure that they don’t stick but also to absorb any extra moisture. The lid of the box is lined with foam for extra cushion while the entire shipping box is lined with foam for insulation. Cardboard inserts secure the berry box from rattling around inside the larger box while an ice pack ensures that everything stays cold during delivery.
