28% of individuals say their cellphone is more helpful than their sweetheart. Sure Google Maps can help me navigate around traffic to help me get to my destination faster and Yelp can be of assistance when traveling and I want to find great local spots but would I really admit that it’s more helpful than my husband? 1/3 of participants have deleted messages their other half would find inappropriate. I admit it. I’ve been deleting the endless weather updates especially the inappropriate storm warnings that come 48 hours in advance of any weather incidents. Winter, I’m officially over you!
5% of survey respondents admitted to owning a phone their significant other doesn’t know about. I don’t know about you but I have enough trouble managing one phone and it’s content, let alone a secret phone!
15% of Americans said they have dumped an ex via text message in 2013. I suppose being dumped via text is like getting dumped during a phone call back in the day.
