Our 7 year old Yellow Labrador doesn’t have any body image issues, in fact, he’s perfectly confident and adored by all who meet him. But as Oliver gets older, keeping him a healthy weight is always on our minds because we know the risks that obesity can pose for older dogs. Thankfully he’s a fabulous running partner who can be spotted running two miles with me 2-3 times a week, enjoys the tummy rubs that come from walking to and from the kids’ school on a daily basis, and we don’t overindulge him when it comes to treats.
Being knowledgeable about how to keep your dog healthy is important. Through lots of exercise and a diet of food specially blended by my friends at Just Right by Purina, we’re able to ensure that Oliver maintains the perfect weight.
Since a dog’s needs change as they grow, Just Right put together this very helpful infograph to ensure that your beloved four legged friends live a long, happy, and healthy life. Click on the infograph to see a full size version open in a separate window.
