Tragic News and Helping a Community Member

My good friend, Jessica, is one of my closest friends in the blogging world. Her amazing friend, Jillian, is an important member of our community who just suffered a horrible personal tragedy that has touched everyone deeply. I’m helping Jessica spread the word about Jillian and her son Demitry to see if Tech Savvy Mama readers can help. Thanks in advance and keep Jillian and Demitry in your thoughts.

My dear friend Jillian Behram’s fiancé, Jason Farley, was killed Sunday morning in a tragic motorcycle accident. Jason was a wonderful man, only 29 years old, and a skilled cyclist. Police are investigating the cause of the accident, in which no one else was injured.

Jason was a loving partner to Jillian and devoted father to their one year old son Demetrius. He loved his work with computers, his family, his dogs, his many friends and most of all, his Jillian and Demitry. Jason’s huge smile and giving spirit will be keenly missed.

You may remember I featured Jillian back in January, applauding her hair styling mastery in Silver Spring and her courage as a woman starting her own business. She will need even more courage now:

They had no life insurance. Jillian will be raising her son alone.

The viewing will be held on Friday, July 4th from 7-9pm and the funeral on Saturday at 11am, both at in Inwood, WV at Brown’s Funeral Home (Exit 5 off I-81). Here is a map.
