The Muppets were a big part of my childhood so it’s only natural that we’ve passed the obsession on to Little Miss Techie. She has her Muppet set with all of her favorite characters, watches the episodes from the first season on DVD, and saw The Muppet Movie on the silver screen as her first movie in a movie theater.
Ever since we went to Jim Henson’s Fantastic World, Captain Computer has become enthralled with watching Muppet clips on YouTube. He got to see Bert and Ernie, Kermit the Frog, and fell in love with the Mahna Mahnas. It isn’t unusual for him to wake up from his nap, wander into the office where I’m always working on the computer, and climb into my lap where he’ll say “Muh-na Muh-nas” louder and more insistently until I give in. Little Miss Techie enjoys The Swedish Chef, the hijinks of Miss Piggy, and the musical guests.
So on behalf of Captain Computer and Little Miss Techie, I bring you their top three favorite Muppet clips from YouTube:
The Mahna Mahnas

My kids love Mana Mana, and beg to watch it over and over again on youtube! There’s only so much I can take before I have to turn it off though. My limit is about 4 repetitions.

It’s not my kids I have to worry about watching too much Muppets . . . it’s my husband!

We’ve used YouTube for old Sesame Street clips for our daughter. Let’s just say that she _loves_ it, it’s better than most of the stuff on TV these days, and we can limit her viewing to a few minutes.
Just don’t watch the “What’s the name of that song?” clip, or you’ll have it in your head for days. 🙂
