I admit that ordering prints of our family’s digital photos printed is not one of my strong suits. Gorgeous images of our kids and family travels live on our hard drive instead of hanging on the mostly blank wall between our master bedroom and the kids’ rooms. It’s the perfect photo wall that’s mostly empty except for a sad smattering of photos from their baby days. Each year I’ve printed one of our favorite family photos in a large canvas format but honestly, some years have turned out better than others.
This year CanvasPop wowed me with the ease of going from digital to canvas and quality unlike any of the other canvases that I’ve ordered to date. It’s as easy as uploading an image from your computer, Facebook, or Instagram account and letting CanvasPop take care of making your image look amazing on canvas.
I selected a photo from our trip to Hawaii, shared it with CanvasPop, and they took care of choosing the best size and their experts worked to make it perfect by adjusting the contrast and colors.
What you can’t tell from the canvas pictured above is that CanvasPop uses the Giclee printing process on bright white canvas with a matte finish that’s laminated and finished so it is scratch resistant and also resistant to UV rays that tend to cause fading over time however, if you were to see this canvas in person, you would know! Since we’ve gotten our CanvasPop print, visitors have remarked on the stunning quality, vivid image, and vibrant colors.
Even though I took the above photo with a mirrorless camera and submitted it to CanvasPop at full resolution, they also specialize in printing low-res images that are taken with smartphones and posted to social networks. Instagram photos, Facebook photos, and pictures from iPhones and Android devices can be uploaded and printed. In fact, CanvasPop was the first company to print Instagram photos (prints start at $39.95!) and provides photo printing magic using your Facebook photos, allowing each and every one of us to create gorgeous art out of our own photos!
Here’s an inside look at how CanvasPop takes your photos and makes them into gallery-quality artwork!

While I received a large custom-sized print of one of my digital photos for review purposes that retails for $106, I am a firm believer in quality products that last and plan to use CanvasPop for our family’s photos in the future. No compensation was received for this post and all opinions are my own.
