I can never have enough jewelry especially when it is by Lisa Lehmann of Studio Jewel, aka @TheBeadGirl. Lisa is a one-woman operation who loves playing with metal and fire between home schooling her kids whose inspiration comes from within and from fellow artists like famous sculptor, Alexander Calder. She handcrafts each incredible piece and is just as nice in real life as anyone could ever be.

I had the opportunity to meet Lisa at Type A Mom Conference in September after being first introduced to her jewelry by Janine (aka Twincident) earlier in the year. I spied this incredible Haiti Relief Necklace Janine wore to a blogger get together and had to have it especially after she explained the significance of each of the elements in the necklace.

We need to SURROUND those impacted by this disaster with HOPE – thus the significance of the silver circle encompassing the hope disk. It will take our faith, our hope and our love to feed their emotional needs…but it will also take our hands. We need to use WOOD, STONE and METAL, as seen in the individual beads, to rebuild what has been lost – to rebuild lives torn apart. We must LINK together, as represented by the silver chain, as a people united in order to serve others and share our HOPE for a new and better future.
