Yes, you read that right! I have been asked to model purses tonight for an online fashion show. Since I have a serious purse addiction, there’s no way I could say no to seeing gorgeous Sondra Roberts bags in person! I’m so flattered that Twofer Mom (aka @Twincident) asked me to model!

I know you are wondering what in the world makes me qualified to model handbags. Absolutely nothing. Well, I suppose I have actually modeled before…

Back in the day (aka high school) I modeled for my local Macy’s at Stanford Shopping Center. It sounded far more glamorous than it and served as my introduction to retail. The job mostly involved standing around in uncomfortable shoes for very little money, going to the cosmetics department where the makeup ladies always put on Tammy Faye-like-makeup prior to standing around, and having a hideous picture on the wall for an entire year. It was bad but at least I got to do it with one of my friends. Misery loves company?

Anyways, I’m hoping that I’ll fare better tonight and if not, I hope I can redeem myself in an upcoming T-Mobile campaign. More on that later!

So I’m off to prepare for handbag modeling and I’ll be back releasing Holiday Gift Guides at a furious pace over the next week.
