Even though June was Online Safety Month, there is an ongoing need to know what internet tools are being used in your home and for constant conversations about the risks and rewards of being online in order to keep your family safe.
Last month I made a big leap when I decided to take a leave of absence from teaching. Instead of educating kids in the classroom, I’m increasing expanding my mission as Chief BitMom to provide parental education about current topics relating to family internet safety and security on BitMoms and beyond. This is an exciting new venture and I hope that you will join me on the BitMoms to learn about the risks of the online world and become knowledgeable about the sites that your kids might using on a regular basis.
As a special bonus, the first 10 Tech Savvy Mama readers to join our free BitMoms community will get a BitMoms prize pack that contains BitDefender Internet Security 2010 ($39.95) and some of the highly coveted BitMoms branded spa products handmade by Nature’s Edge Herb Farm that have been a huge hit at recent events.
BitDefender Internet Security 2010 is netbook compatible and provides advanced protection against viruses, hackers, spam, and identity theft without slowing your computer down. One of my favorite features that any parent will appreciate is its ability to provide parental controls that will monitor and control your kids’ online activities.
So what are you waiting for? Join BitMoms now, come find me in the community, and write on my wall to say hi. I’ll send the first 10 readers to join some fabulous gifts courtesy of BitMoms!
And no, you don’t need to be a mom to join BitMoms! Dads are welcome too!
I am a paid consultant to BitDefender for BitMoms but was not required to host this giveaway or promote the site through my personal blog.
Thanks for reading Tech Savvy Mama through your feed!
