I’m back from sunny San Diego where I admit that my workouts involved walking LegoLand to experience every single ride in the park, pounding the streets of La Jolla in search of the best fish tacos, engaging arm muscles to haul luggage, and dancing at my brother’s wedding.
Now that I’m home, I definitely feel the effects of abandoning my regular YourShape workouts. I could have brought my running shoes and run the hills around our rented house during the course of the week but I was realistic. The weather was gorgeous but this trip was a great time to step away from my hectic pre-trip pace and take a break.
I admit that I’m little afraid to step on the scale and turn on YourShape to face my trainer for the first time but at least I’m well-rested, revitalized, and ready to get back into my workout groove.
Here are some trip stats:
- Days without YourShape: 7
- Meals involving tacos and/or taquitos- 4
- Hours walking/riding rides at LegoLand: 7 (We opened and closed the park!)
- Pieces of wedding cake consumed: 1.5 (I couldn’t let Captain Computer’s tiramisu go to waste)
- Hours slept each night: 7 (Instead of my usual 5! Hooray!)
- Blog posts written: 1 for LeapFrog while in San Diego + 3 on the plane ride home = 4
- Number of FourSquare badges earned/new mayorships: 1 and 1
- Weight lost: 0 lbs (I could have had some more fish tacos!)
- Total weight lost since starting using YourShape: 1 lb (Everyone knows that muscle weighs more than fat!)
- Minutes of regret: 0
Ubisoft provided me with a copy of Your Shape: Fitness Evolved and is sponsoring this series of reviews, though the opinions I’ve expressed here are solely my own and represent my honest viewpoint. Ubisoft, Clever Girls Collective and I promote Blog With Integrity. Xbox 360 and Kinect were provided for review by Microsoft.
