There’s something about the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series that resonates with elementary aged kids whether in print or on the big screen. In anticipation of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules
coming to the big screen on March 25, I was sent the first two Wimpy Kid books to read before my interview with Jeff Kinney this Thursday.
Little Miss Techie spied the books and told me that some of the kids in her class fight over checking them out. She was thrilled to get her hands on the first one![]()
and promptly squirreled it away and read it in record time. When Little Miss Techie finally came up for air, she gave me a brief book report saying that her favorite part was a joke involving the words butt and crack and could barely tell it to me without going into hysterics!
Now Little Miss Techie is devouring the second book in the series, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules![]()
. She’s convinced it will be as hilarious as the first but if not, author Jeff Kinney will have some explaining to do since this 7 year old fan is developing a list of questions for me to ask him during Thursday’s phone interview.
