Regardless of what you think of Lady Gaga or her music, there’s no doubt that her Born This Way Foundationstrives to teach kids that it’s ok to be themselves by encouraging them to feel confident about their individuality and to be brave. There’s no better time to reinforce such messages as kids go back to school and may encounter challenges from peers that suggest otherwise through on and offline interactions.
This year Office Depot is supplying bravery through a new partnership with Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation aims to keep a feeling of empowerment in the back of kids’ minds through limited edition products for back-to-school and a social campaign through the Office Depot Facebook page. Students are encouraged to express their individuality and reach out and
connect with each other on Facebook while using products that will inspire them to feel empowered and brave.
This school season Office Depot is offering products such as empowerment gift cards with a $20 value and containing one of six messages on the front: “Be Brave,” “Be Amazing,”
”Be Yourself,” “Be Kind,” “Be Accepting,” and “Be Involved.”
Parents,
students, and teachers can use the gift card to purchase back-to-school essentials at Office Depot and the card becomes a keepsake that can be clipped to their backpacks or belt loops in support of
the movement. “Kindness Sticks” Post-It® Notes,
limited-edition Sharpie® pens, and “Bravery Bracelets” feature the Born This Way Foundation’s logo and the six
messages of empowerment on the gift cards.
This year supply some bravery in your kids by purchasing items from the line during your back to school shopping and help Office Depot give back to the Born This Way Foundation. Office Depot has pledged a donation of at least $1 million to the Born This Way Foundation and hopes to donate more through their commitment of giving 25% of each sale of limited edition products back to Lady Gaga’s foundation.
