Video games used to be highly criticized for being passive, addictive, and violent but these days carefully created content designed for the youngest learners is interactive, educational, and anything but passive as they learn through play.
Earlier this year the Microsoft Xbox Kinect Playful Learning team descended on our home for a 2 day video shoot where they brought game betas of new titles developed in conjunction with Sesame Workshop and National Geographic that will be out this fall.
Take a look at the just-released video from Kinect Playful Learning that gives a preview of some of the new titles that are coming out this fall that turn your gaming experience into 2-way TV!
The new titles turn game play into a fully immersive experience where your kids become part of the game thanks to Kinect technology that puts their image and movements on the screen. If your family loves Once Upon a Monster for Kinect, I promise that these new games are even better!
I’m just a little thrilled at how it turned out and the kids loved their task that required playing the games for testing purposes. Seriously, what kid wouldn’t love that!
We were not compensated by Microsoft, Xbox, or Kinect for our appearance in the video. All opinions are my own and draw upon my background as a parent, former teacher, and technology specialist. I received an Xbox with Kinect from Microsoft for review purposes two years ago. Amazon affiliate links included in this post.
