Disney fans eagerly awaiting the opening of the new Fantasyland section of The Magic Kingdom on December 6 have the opportunity to learn how science, technology, engineering, math, and art contributed to the park’s largest expansion in history through the work of the Imagineers thanks to YouTube videos that can be watched before a trip to Walt Disney World. Usually called STEM topics, science, technology, engineering, and math always play a huge role in the creation of the Disney attractions and structures.
Numerous behind the scenes videos available on the Disney Parks YouTube channel provide an inside look at Enchanted Forest attractions such as Enchanted Tales With Belle at Maurice’s Cottage and Be Our Guest Restaurant at The Beast’s Castle.
One of the attractions that I loved learning more about through the eyes of an Imagineer at the Walt Disney World Disney Nite DC Media Preview was the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Coaster. This new coaster features mine cars that swing left to right for a kinetic experience and great views of the park. Here’s a look at the mine train cars from concept to parking lot testing!
Take a look at the virtual concept for the Mine Train Ride through this video clip:
