We’re recent fans of the Ice Age movies. Although we’ve always loved the digital shorts featuring Scratt, the acorn obsessed squirrel, Ice Age: Continental Drift was the first full length movie from the franchise that we’ve seen. The kids instantly fell in love with the hilarious characters and identified with the closeness of the family so we’re excited to throw a movie night at our house to share some Ice Age fun with friends! We love our weekend movie nights but this one will be Ice Aged themed!
We’ve been brainstorming about how to bring some Paleolithic fun inside for our friends. Perhaps we’ll have our guests fashion their pizza in the shape of the continents. We’ll whip up some tropical frosty punch in honor of Captain Gutt and serve Baked Alaska for dessert that looks like the polar ice caps that melt in the movies. Maybe we’ll bake cupcakes with different colored layers to mimic the geology of the Earth. Oh the possibilities are endless!
I have some time before our screening so there’s plenty of time to keep scouring Ice Age boards on Pinterest and thanks to Ice Age, our guests are going to go home with some fabulous movie themed items that I can’t quite share yet but will be in a future post!
Are you a party planning extraordinare? What ideas do you have for our Ice Age bash? Feel free to share!
No compensation is being received for this post or hosting the party. 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is providing a party pack with a gift card to use towards supplies, party favors, and a copy of the movie but all opinions are mine and those of the Ice Age fans in our house.
