Are you like me—always wishing you had more time in the day, a team of interns, or a clone? I’m always looking for little ways to streamline the millions of things I need to get done for work, home, and my family and Office Depot Omni Channel online ordering with in-store pickup in an hour is a time saving convenience I appreciate. I recently had an opportunity to try out the online ordering an in-store pickup feature as part of a sponsored Office Depot campaign and was impressed at how easy it was to use.
Using the website, I conducted a search for items just as I would if I had been placing an online order. The only difference is that on the left hand sidebar, under Availability, I selected For Store Pickup. That helped search for items meeting the criteria of my search based on availability at my nearest Office Depot store.
When I found the item I wanted, I liked how I was able to see what was sold online, in stores, and available for free in-store pickup.
Once I added items to my cart and was ready to check out, I could select either in-store pickup or delivery. Although I was planning to pick up my items, I could have easily arranged for free next business day delivery if items in my shopping cart met the minimum. Otherwise, delivery fees begin at $9.95.
Once I placed my order, I received an email confirmation from Office Depot notifying me that my items would be ready to be picked up in an hour. To my surprise, I got an email a mere 13 minutes later notifying me that my order I placed was ready for pick-up! I drove to the store, presented my order confirmation, and photo ID and was on my way in minutes! Oh, and I was able to check out anywhere in the store thanks to the handheld devices that Office Depot team members carry. How tech savvy to not have to wait in line at a checkout counter!
Office Depot online ordering with in-store pickup was so easy that I plan to use it always! I loved being able to go online to shop, have my order put together at the store, and be notified when it was ready to pick up. I can see this being a huge timesaver whether I’m shopping for business supplies and ordering printed materials for my business or restocking the kids school supplies.
Another nice feature of online ordering through Office Depot is the in-store pickup feature makes it easy to know what’s in stock at area stores. This prevented me from running around from store to store to find what I needed. I appreciated how I could view the items in my cart and check store availability for all area locations. I found that some locations had all the items I wanted to purchase while others didn’t. This helped me determine what store had the most items I wanted and could pick up all at once to save me time.
