From price comparison apps like Red Laser that allow me to scan a barcode of a product to find the best local price to store apps featuring special discounts obtained by presenting my phone at the register, my smartphone is my secret shopping weapon. Most people have 3-4 shopping apps on their cellphone or tablet which is pretty similar to the amount I have. I try to limit my app selection to my most frequently visited stores to channel my loyalty.

One might think that women would be more likely to use their smartphone to score deals however, men not only consider their smartphones vitally important than women do but 35% of men plan to use shopping apps this season.
