The Monterey Bay Aquarium is one of our favorite places to visit when travel to California to see my parents and it’s a place that I’ve been going to since I was a child. My kids are captivated by the playful otters, wait patiently for graceful stingrays to glide by to pet their silky fins, and marvel at the two story high kelp forest exhibit. It’s a marvelous place where kids get a chance to think and act like scientists through hands-on opportunities and plain old curiosity.
Whether you’ve been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium or it’s on your family travel bucket list, you can join PBS and experts in the field of marine biology and conservation for a live, interactive discussion on Twitter tonight. Since some of the world’s most spectacular marine animals are being profiled and followed in real-time on-air, Twitter users will have the opportunity to ask questions about what you see, and learn how you can extend related content into the home or classroom.
