If you shop at CVS like I do, you’re probably a member of their ExtraCare Rewards program but do you maximize the benefits that come when you sign up for a free account?
Taking advantage of CVS ExtraCare Rewards doesn’t require you to be a contender for Extreme Couponing but it is worthwhile to know how to use the program to streamline your shopping to help save you money at the register.
Start by Signing Up for Email Offers
If you’re like me, you probably feel inundated with emails but if you shop at your neighborhood CVS, it’s worthwhile to opt-in to their emails.
Once you opt in, you’ll start receiving email offers through the ExtraCare Rewards program and rewards based on your shopping habits. Emails are sent just often enough to be helpful without being annoying and email subjects like, “Leticia, $10 Coupon!” ensure they get noticed in my overflowing inbox.
Tip: Create a separate email account for your shopping sites so promotional offers, discounts, and coupons go to a different inbox than your personal account. I know it means having one more email account to check but I like being able to separate the content to help me find things faster.
Download the CVS Pharmacy App and Send Email Offers
Now that you’re receiving email offers through your separate email address that’s dedicated to shopping offers, you’ll want to download the CVS Pharmacy App (free for iOS and Android).
Not only will you get $5 ExtraCare Rewards when you download the app and link your ExtraCare card for the first time, but it will allow you to open your email offers and send relevant ones to your card so you’re not hunting through your inbox to try to find current deals as you check out at the register.
Deals, deals, discounts and ExtraBucks can be easily sent to the CVS Pharmacy App with just a click of the mouse so they’ll always be available for your next shopping trip.
Also be sure to scan your ExtraCare card upon check out to ensure you are getting the latest offers and savings from CVS.
Thank goodness shopping has become more sophisticated and stores know what we buy and can create targeted offers designed to save us money based on our shopping habits. Opting in to receive CVS ExtraCare email offers and being able to send the most relevant ones directly to the app saves me time and money.
