When I was working for the school system, one of the most popular programs was a downloadable printable book service called Reading A-Z. Teachers raved about the books because they allowed them to print and copy books to send home with students to reinforce reading skills that were being taught in class. While Reading A-Z is still loved by teachers in our county, it is also a program for parents to use at home with their children to teach reading skills.
Reading A-Z started out as a single product produced by a 3 person company. 5 years later, Reading A-Z includes other subject areas and is part of Learning A-Z. Learning A-Z provides parents with great educational resources. Whether you home-school your child or are looking for ways to keep your child’s skills current over the summer, you will want to check out Learning A-Z’s products.
Right now Learning A-Z is having a Teacher Appreciation Open House where anyone anywhere can get free access to a Learning A-Z website a day for the rest of the week. Here are the free trials that are available:
Wednesday, May 7: Writing A-Z provides downloadable online writing lessons and tutorials for all writing genres and skills that are designed to meet the needs of every child.
Thursday, May 8: Vocabulary A-Z automatically generates online vocabulary lessons that can be printed for K-6 students, remedial readers, English language learners, special education students, and struggling readers.
Friday, May 9: Reading-Tutors provides tutor lesson plans and developmentally appropriate student reading resources for effective tutoring sessions. Good for one-on-one tutoring sessions, at home parent instruction, building specific reading skills, or to improve general reading skills.
Plus a bonus day-Monday, May 12: Science A-Z contains downloadable comprehensive science curriculum and includes life science, physical science, earth science, and process science units.
To try any of the above Learning A-Z sites, register for the Open House by clicking here then visit your My Account page each day to activate the free pass for the appropriate website.
Sorry I would have posted this earlier in the week so you could have taken advantage of Monday’s and Tuesday’s trials but I just heard about it!

I love this site! I’ve used the books with both my special needs students and my neuro-typical students! In fact I am currently using them with my home tutoring biz!
They have great benchmark books so that you can easily decide whether or not your child is ready to move on to the next level.
I love this!
Thanks – I’m going to try it.
