I *heart* Scholastic and they *heart* Tech Savvy Mama readers! As promised, here’s the details of the latest greatest Scholastic giveaway.
Scholastic is giving away 10 Tech Savva Mama readers books and book bags to keep your child reading throughout the summer! 10 winners will receive book bags containing a customized selection of books specially selected for your child’s age and gender.
Here’s how to win:
1. For one entry into our super giveaway, visit the Summer Reading Buzz, poke around the site, and leave a comment about your favorite part of the website along with the gender and age of your child so Scholastic can custom select books for you and your kids. Be sure to include your name and e-mail. And no plagiarizing any of yesterday’s content in your comments! Automatic DQ!
2. For a second chance to win, include me in your blogroll and/or blog about this giveaway on your site. Then send me an e-mail titled “Blog Love” to techsavvymama (at) gmail (dot) com with the permalink to your post or blog URL.
3. If you really, really, really want to win, and are bummed about #2 since you aren’t a blogger, then join my Lilaguide group, Tech Savvy Parents, by clicking here for a third entry. Tech Savvy Parents Lilagroup is where all the cool parents hang out, discuss, and learn more about technology for their kids. Oh, and bloggers can do this too for another chance to win.
That’s it! I’ll post the names of all 10 winners on Tech Savvy Mama on Wednesday, July 2. Good luck and be sure to check back to see if you won!
Many thanks to Scholastic for providing such a fabulous giveaway!
The fine print: To be eligible, you must include all the relevant information mentioned above in your comment that must submitted by Midnight EST on Wednesday, July 2. The winners will be selected by random.org and announced on Tech Savvy Mama. Winners have 48 hours to contact me with an address of where they would like their prize sent. One entry per person per category: comment, “Blog Love,” and Tech Savvy Parents Lilagroup. The contest is limited to the continental United States.

Hi Tech Savvy Mama!
I like the Celebrity Book Buzz. Who would have though that Jason Taylor’s favorite book was Tom Sawyer? Love that!
My child: male, 2 yrs old

Like the Buzz Board. My child – 5yo, female…crazy about books. Thanks!
What a great give away… We love books and scholastic is great. The Word of the Day is a fun feature! I have two little girls- 5 and 2.
I like the Word of the Day – reminds me of PeeWee’s Playhouse – fun way to improve new readers vocabs. I also liked the Celebrity Book Buzz, really cute to see the jock’s fave stories.
I have an early reader, 4.5 yr old boy and a 2.5 yr girly girl.
LOVE TECH SAVVY MAMA!
I really like the list of age-appropriate books in your reading week post. I think I’m going to get the Encyclopedia Brown books for my son, he’s six but I think he’s ready.
Great contest!
I like the Buzz Booklist. I always wonder if I’m choosing age-appropriate books for my 6 year old. I have three boys ages 3, 5 & 6.
I like all of it, but the games section really got my attention. My kids love computer games, so I’m going to tell them all about it.
My eldest is 9, so if I were to win, I’d like books for that age child.
thanks, tech mama

i like the word of the day !! i have 2 girls 4 and 2

Hello! I have always like the Scholastic Company. I work at their book fairs and their site is wonderful. The way that the “Summer
Reading Buzz” is set up would encourage children to read! The reader meter goes up when a child signs up for the challenge. I have a six year old son who would love to win this wonderful prize package. Please enter us in your drawing. Many thanks, Cindi
(I subscribe to your “Lilaguide Group”. jchoppes[at]hotmail[dot]com
What a great site. I’m going to get my kids signed up, feed their reading and computer loves. they also have a bit of a crush on wordgirl. Like the rec reading lists. I also added you to my blogroll.
Thannks, nicole
Two boys – 4 & 5
I like the downloadable buzz booklists! They are exactly what I needed today as we prep for a trip to the library.
I have an 8 year old boy (advanced reader) and 5 year old girls (beginning reader)
Thanks!

I love that you can get recommendations by grade level and subject. Very nice!
I love that you can click a button and get a pdf file to print out appropriate books!
My son is 4.5 🙂
I like the interview with the authors section. My 8 year old loves feeling a connection with the authors of the books he reads.
I like that you can pick books by age range. And that they have featured books so you can see what all they have to offer. Cool site!
I have a son age 2 going on 20 (and another son arriving in about 6weeks)! Thanks so much.
I’m going to have to go with the Word Girl’s Word of the Day, since that is my girls’ favorite show. My oldest daughter is 4 1/2.
I like the pdf booklists – and I printed the last page for my kids. We burn through books over the summer so I’m always looking for lists like this. If *I* recommend a book my oldest daughter will go out of her way to avoid it!
I have a girl 11, and boy/girl twins who are 10.
My email is threeundertwo [at] hotmail [dot] com.
Great site! Glad I found you!
I liked that the book lists in the Parents section included books specifically about great women and African-Americans, and Hanukkah books. Even though we’re not black, I still want my 2-yr-old daughter to know about ALL great Americans in our history. And we are Jewish, and it’s hard to find Hanukkah stuff sometimes!
Almost forgot this part – I’m Gabrielle, email is g_tenn(at)yahoo(dot)com.
I like the Buzz Mail Book Review send-to-a-friend feature. Where was the Internet when I was a kid? I would have loved that!
Word Girl: Word of the Day is cool too. I’m going to start that with my oldest now!
I have 2 girls: 4yrs and 2yrs.
Cool site.
Thanks for sharing this – what a cool site – I just bookmarked it and printed out the recommended reading list for pre-k (or the “honeybees”), which is a great feature. My son is almost 2 years old and loves to read (mostly one page per book, or upside down). Mireille. Email is mtk125 at hotmail.com
Hi there –
Great site. . .thanks for sharing!
I love the “printables” feature on the site — perfect for my crayon- and marker-obsessed girls (ages 17 mo. and 3 years). The “word of the day” is pretty cool also.
Thanks for the contest!

Mom to Jake, 4.5 years, Noah, 2.5 years, and Aaron, 4 months
I liked the graphics–even my little one was interested, though so far she gets no screen time except when mommy is doing something online.
My baby girl is 13 months (Jillian).

I liked the Buzz-Book of the Week. I have 2 little boys, ages 7 and 8 and knowing which books to guide them towards has always been tough and Scholastic has done the work for me!
I’m already subscribed. 🙂
I loved the flip – I haven’t seen one of those since my friends and I were telling our fortunes in middle school :). I’m not sure what those fortune flips predicted, but our daughter is 3 and our son is 6 months.

Scholastic sells books direct to parents now? Where have I been, under a rock? Awesome.
My little boys are 4 and 1. We are psyched about the huge selection at Scholastic that pops up after a search for “trucks.”
Thanks for the tip!
I liked that kids can log the books that they read, and then for every 4 they read one is given to a child in need. I think my son will be so excited to help others by reading. I am also excited to hear that parents can buy directly from the site (especially since my son’s teacher only handed out one book order last year). My son is 6, but is in 3rd grade reading class at school.
I love the fun, whimsical site and look forward to it helping me find new and age appropriate books for my girls. Thanks for leading me to it!
Thanks for an awesome giveaway! Sophia’s 2.5. I just printed out the recommended booklist. There are books I’m familiar with on it, but there are new to me books too! Alice the Fairy looks like a great non-typical fairy book.
And you can’t beat the trip to Disneyworld sweepstakes.
I’m going to blog about you and the contest too!
I’m leaving a link to my blog. I blogged about your contest and the Lilaguide group! Now off to blueberry picking!
