Happy Birthday Captain Computer!

Now you are two. I have no idea how the last two years passed so quickly but they did.

You fill our lives with joy with your winning smile, devilish ways, and boundless energy. Your love for the hose, Home Depot, home improvement projects, and any construction vehicle/fire truck never cease to amaze me. I love the way you skip and gallop through life without a care in the world. Your deep belly laugh always makes me smile.

You went from being our silent wonder to the little boy who can say big words like microwave and sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Happy Birthday. You understand so much more than we realize and I treasure our amazing conversations like the one you had with us tonight:

Me: What?
CC: Pizza
Me: Pizza? We don’t have any pizza.
CC: Got something (translation: forgot something)
Me: What?
CC: Mina mine (translation: never mind)

You are a little man with big plans and a huge heart. I love when you take a moment out of your day to stop and give me a hug, wrapping your arms around my neck and pat-patting my back with your hands. Or when you grab on to my hand as we walk the neighbor’s dog as if you are hanging on for dear life. I love the way you take care of your sister and always do a head count to make sure every member of the family is present before we take off in the car.

We wish you could stay this way forever but you are growing up so fast.
