With Memorial Day behind and summer inching closer, I’m going to be focusing on ways for your child to keep learning during the summer months. I’ll be reviewing products, highlighting national programs that are educational in nature, and featuring websites that you can use as virtual field trips.
Virtual field trips are a way for you to take a tour of a particular location without having to pack a lunch or a suitcase. I personally love the idea of virtual field trips because they allow for a quick visit, don’t break the bank, and are ways you can interact with content without being there in person. Beginning tomorrow I’ll have a link to all of the virtual field trips websites under the Websites by Curriculum Area on the right side of my site.
So stay put and don’t worry about packing, airport security, or all those airline fees. I’ll be back tomorrow for with my first virtual field trip that will feature Monticello, home of Thomas Jefferson.
