Here in DC we have had record snowfall that the Captain Computer and Little Miss Techie have been dreaming of. If you are a fellow East Coaster being slammed by this monster storm and are inside waiting it our or between shoveling, I invite you to click on over to read my recent posts on other sites.
I’m over on The Washington Times Communities professing my wish for a snow day in Dreaming of a Snow Day. With 23 inches reported in the adjacent town, I have to think that we will have a snow day tomorrow while our area digs out. And perhaps the day after. As a teacher, I can hope, right?
In the LeapFrog Community I’m musing about the ways technology in the classroom has changed from when I was in elementary school in my post titled The Ways Technology Has Changed Education. I’m no dinosaur but certainly we’ve come a long way from a total of 3 computers on carts in my K-5 elementary school growing up to having 2 computer labs, 4 computers in every classroom, and 18 interactive whiteboards in the school where I teach.
I’d really love it if you would come on over and leave me a comment on one or both sites!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and here’s hoping that everyone on the East Coast stays safe during this storm.

Loudoun Co. already declared they’re closed on Mon & Tues. Maybe your county will follow suit 🙂
Thanks De! We are indeed closed for tomorrow but hopefully we will be for Tuesday too!
