When my husband and I were in college, he lived life without abandon. One Valentine’s Day, I gave him a copy of “Where the Wild Things Are” with stuffed monster included and signed it to my wild thing to give to his little wild things one day. Fast forward many years and we were married with a son. For his first Halloween, my mother sewed him a complete Max costume including fluffy tail. We continue to read the story now, although my son is now the one reading the story to us. The book is timeless and a treasure for my family.
My favorite is “A Very Brave Witch”.

my guys love The Very Brave Witch especially the part where she “tricks a tree”. They think that is so funny.

we love the French Version of Where the Wild Things Are that they included.
We realized last year when they turned 2 and 4 that the Peanuts stuff, though it was a classic- doesnt seem appropriate with all the “block head” and stuff.
This new DVD is right up our alley with just the right amount of spooky for little ones!

“Where the Wild Things Are” is great fun in this house – we’ve never seen the movie bc i am afraid it wont be as fun as reading it together.
