Snapfish Provides Personalized Photo Gifts and Overnight Shipping Upgrade for Valentine’s Day (w. giveaway)

February 7, 2011 By Leticia

Congrats to @Coriwestphal who won the $50 Snapfish gift code!

With Valentine’s Day just a week away, take advantage of Snapfish’s free overnight shipping upgrade that will ensure your special photo gifts will be delivered by February 14 when ordered by 6 pm PT / 9 pm EST today.  Use the code FASTCUPID for the free upgrade with any purchase of $20 or more.
If you are feeling strapped for time, I can attest to the fact using Snapfish is fast and easy to create fabulous gifts for Valentine’s Day that will truly wow the recipient. I can’t tell you what we ordered from Snapfish this year because it would ruin the Valentine Day surprise but in the past, favorite gifts to give and get have included:
Photo jewelry.  Last year I had the opportunity to review the sterling silver charm bracelet ($39.99 and up).  I selected 3 favorite photos of my kids to upload and the miniaturized versions came sealed under a coating of plastic on a sturdy chain link bracelet with a nice clasp.  It’s a piece of jewelry that is always complimented and one day I’ll take charms off to pass them along to my kids when they are older.  Other keepsake photo jewelry includes the sterling silver photo necklace ($39.99) or the silver necklace with swinging locket ($85).  Here is the link to my full review of the sterling silver charm bracelet.

Fine Art Print

Canvas art prints.  Every year I like to turn one of our family photos into a large gallery type canvas but this year would like to showcase our picture with either a fine art canvas or a premium modern frame canvas (both starting at $99.99).  I love how the regular photo canvases ($34.99 and up) wrap the image all the way around the sides but the ability to choose the color of the wooden frames around the fine art and premium modern canvases give the piece a more finished and museum quality look which is especially nice for professional photos.  This year I’ll be reviewing one of the framed art canvases for Snapfish so I’ll post a follow-up review after it arrives!

Mugs.  One year I took a photo from my mom’s recent visit and put it on a mug.  It was my first time ordering a photo mug and I loved how crisp the photo was when it was reproduced on a 15 ounce coffee mug.  She loves having her morning cup of coffee and seeing her grandkids each day although it makes her miss them even more!  There are tons of designs to choose from to enhance your photos and make a personalized gift.  Not a coffee drinker?  Snapfish also offers 20 ounce stainless steel photo water bottles ($20) and frosted beer steins ($19.99).
Desk organizer.  I like to think that by getting Tech Savvy Daddy this desk organizer ($26.99) for his office that it will remind him of who is waiting for him at home and make him come home sooner!  I also like this keepsake box ($29.99) and think it would be a nice gift for a newly married couple or family with a new baby to store hospital bracelets and special mementos.
Key rings.  Keep your loved ones in your pocket with their photo on key rings.  The polished silver square key ring ($18.99) features a 1” x 1” charm made from a photo sealed under the same plastic that is used in the jewelry to prevent damage to the print.  The square leather keychain ($19.99) is a masculine choice  that features dark leather and silver accents.

Pet products.  As a new dog owner, Snapfish’s photo pet bowl, ($19.99), dog leash ($19.99), and dog collar ($14.99) caught my eye!

GIVEAWAY: Snapfish wants you to be able to create mementos featuring your loved ones with a $50 gift code!  To enter, browse the Snapfish site and leave a comment with a photo gift you’d like to give to a loved one this Valentine’s Day!  Eligible entries must include an email address or Twitter handle. Winner will be drawn on February 14 from all entries!

For extra entries, complete the above and then do any of the following:
  • Leave a hint for cupid about what photo gift you’d like to get for Valentine’s Day
  • Tweet this daily to win and leave comment with the link to each Tweet: @TechSavvyMama shares VDay gift ideas from @SnapfishbyHP and has a $50 #giveaway!  Enter here: http://bit.ly/gwLe1S
Images and logo courtesy of Snapfish.  Snapfish gave me a credit towards an art canvas in exchange for this post and hosting the giveway.  Snapfish previously provided gift codes to create the desk organizer and sterling silver charm bracelet.  I personally paid for extra charms for my bracelet and have bought other photo gifts from the site with my own funds.

Two of the first photo gifts I purchased were “hot chocolate” mugs for our boys featuring our famous guinea pigs Bungee and Kiwi. So far, they’ve done great in the dishwasher, top rack only. The photos have hardly faded in two years of use. This is a great roundup of other gifts, especially the jewelry. I’ve stumbled and bookmarked your site for the future! One other tip is to always buy things like photo mugs, photo books, etc. on promotion. I’ve yet to pay full price. If one online retailer isn’t having a deal this month, chances are another one is.

One great use of the site I have made this year is stickers with my kids faces, and a “love from…” message. The kids jut stick them on construction paper and add their classmates names for personalized valentines. @mamacandtheboys

Today we’re celebrating National Rescue Dog Day Today we’re celebrating National Rescue Dog Day because we’re so glad Goldie and Murphy are part of our family! 🐶 We gave Goldie her forever home when she was 6 months old. She had been given up by her original family because she was just too much for them. She was an enthusiastic pup who loved to jump straight up in the air when she got excited and she used to hop the fence in the mornings to go visit her best dog friend, Katy, over our back fence. She still jumps from standing when she sees a deer, meets a favorite dog friend, or gets a visit from @lisatasch but now at age 5, she’s more calm and forever faithful. 🦮We met Murphy and his 9 brothers and sisters just days after he was born although we didn’t know he would be the puppy we’d claim as ours. Murphy has that puppy energy but in his quiet moments is a total love bug. He hogs the free space in our king bed (he even has his own pillow!) and loves nothing more than to press his body into me or lie directly on me. 🐾 Goldie and Murphy came to us through @labrescuelrcp and we couldn’t be happier that they’re part of our family! ❤️ #rescuedogday #labrescue #labrador #adoptdontshop
After 3 days at St. Jude Children’s Research Hos After 3 days at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, I’m leaving Memphis so very grateful to be able to support St. Jude’s mission of working to end childhood cancer. ❤️ Spending time connecting, brainstorming, and absorbing the wisdom of fellow Hero Ambassadors from around the country was inspiring because the work we do fundraising through our endurance events helps St. Jude do the incredible work they do to ensure families never receive a bill for their child’s treatment, housing, travel, or food and continue important research that will continue to reduce rates of pediatric cancer and other childhood diseases. I am so looking forward to running in Memphis again this December! 🎉 If you’ve ever thought of running a race that does so much good in the world, join me! I’d love to have you come to Memphis and run with me! Or you can always donate through the fundraising link in my bio. ❤️ #stjude #stjudeheroes #memphis #stjudedmv

As a teacher and parent, I am well aware of the me As a teacher and parent, I am well aware of the mental health challenges our youth face and am really pleased to share that over the weekend I became certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing! 🎉 I’ve always worked to build relationships with the young people in my life- whether my kids’ friends or students- and this certification has made me more mindful of the signs and symptoms of mental health challenges so I can have important and supportive conversations when symptoms first start to appear. 🗣️A big component of the training also included developing a self-care plan which is critical when supporting others. 💕 I’m so grateful to have taken this certification for free through the University of Maryland whose blended learning format (2 hours of self paced online work + 5 hour instructor led class over Zoom) was fantastic! 💻 The teacher in me really applauds the course design and I’m glad to join the 3 million+ in the U.S. certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid. 🏥 If this is something you’re interested in doing, University of Maryland has free courses on Saturdays or Sundays from 10-4pm between June-October.
