I am online all the time. Really. All. The. Time. Unless I’m busy being a mom. Then I really unplug to the point where I miss texts about playdates. Oops.
Awhile ago my husband commented that I haven’t really taken a vacation in the 3 ½ years I’ve been blogging. Even when we go away, I’m always thinking about blog posts that need to be written, reviewing pieces that need to go up for collaborative sites, and completing work for my clients.
Fresh from BlogHer, I’m unplugging. BlogHer was fun. It was the whirlwind that it always is and the time leading up to it was cra-zy with a capital C.
Being constantly on the go makes it hard to step back and evaluate the work that I’m doing for my own site but I’ve decided to take the week to do just that. I’ve decided that I need to do something about all the ideas that have been floating around in my head to refocus my energy.
Maybe I’ll come up with a plan for my site redesign that I’ve been thinking about for so long. Maybe I’ll refine my goals. Or maybe, as my friend Elena says, I’ll Just.Be.Enough. And that will be ok too!
I promise you that my vacation from the internet will be short lived. After all, as a member of Splash Creative Media, we’ll be starting our Fill the Backpack campaign next week and I can’t wait to share it with you!
In the meantime, I’ve queued up some content to delight your senses while I’m away. Enjoy and see you next week!
