Wow, parental controls on the Xbox?! SOLD. If I don’t win this I’m totally buying it. And the cookie monster PSA is adorable.
The most exciting part of bringing it home is that the kids have wanted it for so long, and with money as tight as it is, it is just another thing on the wish list. This would make it a reality! This is @dublrs on Twitter
I loved the cookie monster video =] I’m gald that their is a console that has parental control settings. If I would win a xbox I know I kids would flip because they have been wanting to try out Just Dance games. To keep them safe I only let theym play when I’m watching them and when Daddy is around to connecting everything =]
kperales25{at}aol.com
The cookie monster one of course caught my attention 🙂 I like that you can set how long a family member can be play either daily or weekly and that the settings are easy to locate.
@AMomBlog
I also love the cookie monster video! I love the parental control and that you can set the time the child can use it per day or per week!
teresalolvera@sbcglobal.net / @socialpreneurs
I think that the Family Timer is a very great thing. I would use that because I know that the console will not even turn on until our next family game day =]

We loved the cookie monster video! I love that you can control who can get online. Very cool. Awesome giveaway!
I just completed the survey. @AMomBlog
One feature I’d use if I won would be to set the limit on how long the kids could play on a weekly basis.

What thrills me about the xbox kinect (besides it being insanely cool) is the parental controls – I spend a lot of time setting timers in my house for kids on electronics, it would be nice to set this up once and be done. I also love that there are no controllers! I will not miss picking up other gaming system controllers off the floor, couch, ottoman and putting them away. Also, I will absolutely not miss the insane amount of AA batteries we go through in this house.

I just want a damn game system. Seriously. But also my daughter played Kinectimals at a friend’s house and it kept her both busy and active for nearly three hours! That can’t be beat.
Our wii is slowly dying. We are debating about replacing it with another wii or an xbox. This would make the decision so easy!
I love that you can control who can go online.

What most excites me about bringing home an Xbox with Kinect is seeing the kinds of physical freedom my kids would have in being active AND playing video games at the same time! (and by the way, my 4yo was glued to the computer screen as soon as Cookie Monster came one. well played!) 😉

I like the parental timer feature. courtney dot groeneveld at gmail
The parental control I would *definitely* be implementing right away would be to limit how long each family could use the system each day/week. It’s very important to me that a gaming system like this be used in moderation, and only after everything else – homework, chores, etc – is done!

The kinect excited me be because it gets my kids up and moving! Unlike other gaming systems that have active games there are ways around actually getting up and moving. That isn’t the case with the kinect!
Forgot to add my twitter 🙁 @MadHatterMom tina@madhattermom.com
I’ve seen that first video on TV before and I had no idea so many ‘non-game’ uses are already out there for kinect! I’m dying to see the new sesame street things coming out!!!
I love the parental controls. If I’m not careful my kids will be on there all day long if I get deep into a work project.
@goonsquadsarah
That first video is riveting. I love all the connections to learning. Amazing.

I love that you can set who can play when. (parental controls)
So cool! I would love to try playing different kinds of instruments with just my hand motions.
I love that there are games for my 2.5 year old. She would love to be able to do stuff (unlike on the Wii). I’ll be honest though I’m entering this one for my husband who wants an XBOX 360 so badly. The kid part is my bonus. 😉 @FashOrganized
I’ll NEVER say “It’s just a game” anymore! Look what the Kinect can do! The bomb robot nearly had me in tears. Yes I was a big fan of the movie “The Hurt Locker”. I’m SO stoked about Kinect and my kids, having them MOVE while playing a game, sparking imagination, music, movies… really I don’t think there is a server big enough to handle all the things I could put in this comment!
I watched Cookie Monster video besides being cute it was very informative. I like how there are so many choices- how long/who can connect to what and what games could be played. That would prevent a game being borrowed from someone else and be played if it was something you didnt approve of, or especially getting online without supervision.

I would use the control that determines time used per person per day. It is so easy to get playing something and have a whole afternoon or evening disappear!

I love that it senses your BODY. With the Wii, it senses the remote control. The Kinect is awesome — and family settings/parental controls?! Yes. I realized how extremely valuable and necessary those are when my 6 year old was clicking around on my iPad and ended up on some very *questionable* content. Embarrassing!! I would definitely use the rating settings as well as time constraints!
kjr{at}iheart7{dot}com
What excites me most about bringing the Xbox w/ Kinect into our home would have to be the functionality — I love that we won’t have to keep up with remotes (like with the Wii) and that we can use our bodies AS the remotes. Video games with physical activity REQUIRED?! Score!!

I’m not sure I’m in favor of playing instruments via an Xbox, but some of the other applications in the first video are amazing. If I’m going to bring a video game system into my home, I want to know that it’s something with broad applications. I like how the Kinect allows families to play together and the variety of games is encouraging. My son already loves computer games and the Kinect will ate least get him moving!

I’m excited about a couple things about the Kinect. First is the concept of it capturing your movements. I like workout with the Wii, but I think the Kinect would do better at keeping me honest. Hopefully it would help my kids to be more active also.
I also love the timer part of the parental controls. My kids would stop “not noticing” the timer beeped!

I am excited your can put a time limit on the play of games OR what kind of movies can be played. I have kids of different ages so this is important. I also have a son who is 14 and that age category thinks nothing of being on the games for hours at a time. We do not have an Xbox nor have we tried one, but I do know I would surely use the P controls on the unit. Too much at stake NOT to!
thanks for hosting!

Personally, I like the feature that allows parents to control the time spent on the device because honestly children today are given unlimited time on gaming and it not only hurts their studies but also stunts their own development in creative thinking.

I love everything about Xbox with Kinect, and knowing there is parental controls is just awesome! We as a family really love playing games together, and Xbox with Kinect could take us to a whole new level! It would be so much fun for us, and give us great family quality time. I also love how there are games for preschoolers, too! My son has been begging for an Xbox, and we just can’t afford it right now. I know that he and my daughter would be over-joyed if we got one!
Thanks for offering such an awesome giveaway!

I love the timer feature on the parental controls. That is one thing that is somewhat of a problem at our home. I tell my son he can play for one hour, and if I don’t go in after that one hour, then he will keep playing until I physically come in there and make him stop!

I watched the first video – I loved when they showed the boy doing physical therapy with it as a video game – that is awesome.
I’m most excited about a kinect to actually help with exercising. I want the experience of not having to hold a controller or strap one to my leg, etc to exercise along with the video games. My teenage son and I both are focusing on losing weight so this would be perfect for each of us to use on our own time.

I love the parental controls, that way I can make sure they aren’t playing too much!
I am most excited about he parental controls that track my kids usage and destinations while using the Xbox 360. With three kids at various stages of life, being able to establish controls to meet their individuals needs is a huge plus.

I definotely would be interested in using the parental control that limits my son’s online interactions through the Xbox 360. He’s not old enough to just connect with anyone he chooses to online to play games. I still need to vet people for safety.
This is a present though that he desperately wants so it would mean a lot for me to be able to give it to him.

What excites me the most is the sensor that allows you to play without a controller! I also thought it was interesting that you can use the parental controls to limit the amount of time spent using it on a daily or weekly basis.
And I loved Cookie Monster’s PSA. 😉 Not a world without cookies!!!
