“Wouldn’t it be wonderful, if you’re going to buy Valentines anyway, that it’s for a great cause?”- Julianne Moore
Julianne Moore, a children’s book author herself who also happens to be passionate about literacy and reading, invited her friends— children’s book authors and illustrators: Mo Willems (Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!), Kevin Henkes (Chrysanthemum), Ian Falconer (Olivia), Leuyen Pham (Freckleface Strawberry) and Brian Selznick (Wonderstruck)— to design a set of 30 limited-edition cards that are perfect for giving to an entire class at school.
Thanks to actress, author, activist and mother, Julianne Moore, limited edition Valentine’s Day cards created by some of the world’s most beloved children’s book authors benefitting Save the Children are available on OpenSky, my new favorite shopping site where celebs and experts share their favorite things directly with fans.

The full $25 purchase price of each box benefits children living in poverty through Save the Children’s U.S. Programs.
In addition to the cards, shoppers can also buy an exclusive bundle of all three books in Moore’s children’s book series Freckleface Strawberry, signed by the actress, on OpenSky to benefit Save the Children.
If you aren’t familiar with Freckleface Strawberry, we had the pleasure of hearing Julianne Moore read it at this year’s National Book Festival in Washington, D.C.

I love Julian Moore and this is such a cool idea. In fact I really like v-day in general. I was on Geekmom yesterday and saw a comment that had a funny v-day quiz. If you’re bored, check it out http://www.acrobat.com/formscentral/en/valentines.html?sdid=JOVXS
