Time spent together completing holiday baking projects, going on bike rides, digging in the yard, taking summer road trips, and vacations spanning the globe are some of the fondest memories that I have of growing up. I love that my parents found time for us to spend together to strengthen our family bonds and plan to do the same for our kids. I always wonder what childhood experiences will become lifelong memories for our children.
This year eBay is creating new memories, remembering favorites from years past, and wants to know what memories you are looking forward to making with your family this year. Since eBay realizes how instrumental moms are to holiday memories and wants to celebrate the heartwarming, funny, ridiculous, crazy or unbelievable memories, they’re celebrating with a gift guide that helps buyers shop for Mother’s Day gifts, an upcoming Twitter party with Splash Creative Media and the giveaway below.

One of my favorites memories is the trip my sisters and I took our Mom on. She was in a wheelchair by then (MS) and we took her on a nature trip where we could wheel her into the forest and onto the beach. She enjoyed it so much and so did we…

My favorite memory of my mother when I was young is when we would go to the park. I always wanted to make her proud and so her I could do different things. My favorite saying was “mommy look at me!”

This has more to do with my sister than me, but I can remember when my sister baked alone for the first time. My mother laughed so hard she cried when she learned my sister followed the directions on the box and stirred the batter “by hand”. My mother is pretty unflappable, but that really got her going that day :).
Oh gosh, I have too many favorite memories of my mom to just pick one. They are all precious. One specific is that when I was around 9 I wrote a mother’s day poem for her and sent it to a local paper that was accepting submissions for a mother’s day special. The look on her face when I showed the paper to her is a good memory for sure. 🙂
Thank you for the giveaway!

I remember distinctively heading out on Saturday mornings with my Mom to catch all the wonderful yard sales. She was the first person to teach me that you did not have to compromise your style in order to save money. We found some great items at the yard sale. ‘Til this day, I love going to thrift and consignment shops to find great deals.

My favorite childhood memory is going to church with my mom every sunday. The church was only a few blocks away so we would walk and just chat and have our time before church each sunday. (vivaciousgold)
My favorite Mom memory is my Mom at all my horse shows when I was in 4H as a kid. She stood there ALL day sometimes with me waiting and helping out so I could live my child dream of showing horses. She bought me the best horse she could and that horse taught me more lessons than anyone ever could! @UnKatchable73
I loved spending time in the kitchen with my mom. Too bad I didn’t pick up on more of her cooking skills! Thanks for the chance to win!
