I never knew how much I walked every day until Striiv came into my life. Thanks to this incredible little device, every step counts. Literally.
Striiv works as a pedometer to track your number of steps and convert the distance you travel each day into miles while putting all the data into nice easy to read charts. It’s incredibly motivating to see the steps add up whether I’m walking the kids to and from school, pacing during conference calls, or playing soccer in the yard with the dog.
Energy points you earn from physical activity are used to build MyLand, a virtual world where your points are converted into coins that are used to populate your world with buildings and trees in order to attract animals. My kids are hooked on MyLand and are always up for more walks to earn more things for our virtual world.
There’s also a charitable component where your steps contribute towards a global giving. Trade in the number of steps in order to buy a day’s worth of clean water for a child in South America, immunize a child from polio, or conserve a parking spot size piece of the Tanzania rainforest for a year.
I love Striiv because it motivates us as a family to stay active because we can see the results of our physical activity on the screen but also because our steps help create global good through charitable giving.
Easy to charge with the enclosed USB cable, this pocket size device is highly portable. Mine lives on my bathroom vanity where I charge it at night and slip it in my pocket as I get ready in the morning so I’m never without it! It comes with a key fob to attach it to your keychain but I prefer to have mine with me at all times to count every single one of my steps.
Interested in trying Striiv and putting a personal trainer in your pocket? I have two ways you can get your own!

I bike to work most days, and now my newly biking 6-year-old is biking to school. And, now that he can bike, I can run behind him, which is fantastic exercise. hipmamae@gmail.com

I would LOVE to win this- but would actually give it to hubby.. we both need to lose, but he has diabetes and heart problems on his side and this looks fun enough that even a caveman could do it (OK he isnt a caveman LOL)

I make fitness a priority and I hope that my example helps my kids live fit lives. One of the easiest ways I have found to get kids active is the JUST DANCE video game series for WII and Xbox Kinect. That game is a BLAST for all ages. @HSlater351
My family have joined a number of gyms/workout facilities and just have not had the motivation to get up and go as much as needed. So it was money going out of the window. I know that we need to customize a fitness plan that works with our schedule.

My biggest challenge is finding time to exercise. I’d have to wake up before it’s light out, but exercising outside in the dark is a safety issue. Then by the time I get home from work, make dinner, and get my son to bed, it’s dark out again. I think I’d like to start taking walks during my lunch break, though. That’s a start, right?

My kids are great re: fitness…they love to be active! My daughter is on swim team and practices daily for 2 hours! My son takes karate classes 4 times a week. I’m not as good, but try to walk a few miles each day…usually in the morning to start my day & then walking the dog. My hubby is the hardest for getting fitness is…but he tries to leave work early enough to go to the Y to work out!
I try to get in exercise daily and think something like the Striiv would help to motivate me and track my daily steps by letting me see exactly where and I now.

We all take a walk around our subdivision as a family in the evening. The kids love it. My 3 year old usually rides his tricycle. Thanks for the giveaway! vasily3 (at) gmail (dot) com
Exercising with one kiddo was easy–now that there are two I can’t figure it out. Too many messes to clean up, too many little feet on the yoga mat, too tired…

I have a 2 yr old so working out at home is very hard since she tries to do it as well. my only option is when she naps or before she wakes up. We have a fabulous gym in my neighborhood, but I can’t go without her and it isn’t safe. I need motivation at home.
