ProFlowers for Mother’s Day Plants and Flowers

Orchids and azaleas always remind me of my Mom. She loves plants over cut flowers because of their longevity and while I like to surprise her with flowers, I know that the more practical side of her prefers azaleas that she can continue to enjoy when planted in her garden or the joy of her orchids blooming over and over again.

I’ve always been a fan of ProFlowers for unique gifts for mom but this year sent my Mom the potted double stem kaleidoscope orchid from ProPlants, a division of ProFlowers.

ProFlowers makes ordering easy and quick.  Since the site is associated with RedEnvelope, Personal Creations, Shari’s Berries, and Cherry Moon Farms, all I need to do is use a single login, choose the gift, and if the recipient is someone I’ve sent a gift to before, I simply click on the box next to their name and address to send the gift.  I also love being able to select a delivery date and paying either with credit card or with PayPal.  It only takes a matter of minutes for me to complete an order on any of the aforementioned sites before I get an email confirmation of my order.  When the item ships, I get another email notifying me that its on its way.

This time I received an email saying that the kaleidoscope orchid was on its way to my house!  Oops!  I thought that it might be difficult to get someone on the phone or to remedy the situation but couldn’t be more wrong!  ProFlowers makes it just as easy to resolve a problem as it is to place an order.  An actual person picked up the phone immediately, was able to look up my order, and have the orchid sent to my Mom. 

What did it look like upon arrival?  Perfect thanks to the secure packaging that kept it safe during transit. 

The Kaleidoscope Orchid stands an impressive 2 feet tall!

The orchid was boxed in a tall cardboard box and the double sprays were contained in a triangular cardboard form that was lined with bubble wrap.  The orchid stems were gently wrapped with cellophane to protect them. The black tapered tin I selected was completely wrapped with saran wrap to prevent scratching as was the moss covering the pot.

with no bruised petals or broken stems!

Both Mom and I were completely thrilled with our orchids and it’s not too late to order Mother’s Day plants and flowers or other unique gifts other than flowers for mom, daughters, aunts, wives, or sisters from ProFlowers!  Even if the person you’re shopping for thinks flowers are extravagant or doesn’t have the greenest of thumbs, chances are they’ll love any gift from ProFlowers!
