Last night I had the pleasure of meeting up with my fellow AMD Tech Moms in Austin to attend AMD’s Digital Jam Tech Showcase that featured laptops, tablets, and desktop machines with AMD accelerator processing units (APUs).

The event showcased the power of an AMD APU- a fast processor with crisp gorgeous graphics that enhances the user experience whether completing daily tasks, editing video, or playing video games on multiple screens. There was no shortage of sleek machines with gorgeous graphics displayed on the screens!
There was also a focus on music as event kicked off the Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACL), a sold out 3 day festival that features bands playing simultaneously on 8 different stages across Austin’s Zilker Park. Tonight Charlie Gore performed, giving us just a taste of the great music to come over the next three days, and AMD displayed some novel uses of technology inside a drum set and guitars.
Since AMD is located in Austin, they have their own stage at ACL each year. During the course of the festival, AMD will host 14 different bands on their own stage and I’m excited to have backstage access to performances by Weezer and Jack White, formerly of The White Stripes, and many more as an AMD Tech Mom! I’m also looking forward to catching Florence and the Machine who is a household favorite and waving hi to favorite local DC kid rock band, Rocknoceros, but sad to be flying home before the Red Hot Chili Peppers close out ACL on Sunday night.
In honor of attending my first ACL with AMD, I have 2 AMD A8 Accelerated Processing Units Black Edition to give away courtesy of AMD! Enter through Rafflecopter.

As an AMD Tech Mom, I receive compensation and product for my involvement in the program. AMD also covered my travel expenses for my trip to Austin City Limits.
