The saying “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” certainly applies in Hollywood where talent is transferred from parent to child. Out as a Blu-Ray combo pack this Friday, This is 40 was a Judd Apatow family production.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been five years since Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann appeared in Apatow’s Knocked Up but they’re back again as Pete and Debbie in This is 40.  In this movie, the husband and wife pair are faced with balancing the challenges and rewards of marriage and parenthood as they turn 40. Apatow’s wife, Leslie plays the mom, and his daughters, Maude and Iris Apatow, are the on-screen daughters.

They’ve also been in Gross Pointe Blank and High Fidelity.

Ben is married to actress Christine Taylor who you probably remember as Marcia Brady in The Brady Bunch.

Will, Jada, Jaden & Willow Smith

The super talent Smith family is an acting and singing powerhouse of a family. Son Jaden starred alongside dad, Will, as his son in The Pursuit of Happiness, had a cameo in Men in Black II and will be his costar in the upcoming film, After Earth.     It may not be “family” but I love how Adam Sandler uses the people who helped make him famous in all of his movies.

    But I love seeing parents and kids act together like Will Smith, Jaden and Willow.
