Win One of Two Pairs of Tickets to the X-STEM Extreme STEM Symposium from the USA Science and Engineering Festival
If you are excited about this year’s USA Science and Engineering Festival, clear your calendar on Thursday, April 24 because the X-STEM Extreme STEM Symposium is coming right before the weekend’s events and promises to bring interactive presentations and workshops by an exclusive group of visionaries who aim to empower and inspire kids about careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Additional information from the USA Science and Engineering Festival:
This all day event will feature multiple presentation sessions covering a wide array of subject areas including space exploration, storm chasing, oceanography, the science of social networks, the physics of superheroes, mathematical puzzles and much, much more! Student attendees will have the opportunity to sit in on multiple engaging presentations, live demonstrations and hands-on workshops.
The X-STEM Symposium provides a unique educational opportunity for kids to “get up close and personal with some of the nation’s most noted STEM professionals representing top universities, corporations, non-profit organizations and governmental agencies.” The day consists of talks and workshops for middle and high school audiences although there is some content planned for elementary students too.
The X-STEM Symposium will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and if you’d like to learn more, you can review the full X-STEM agenda of the day’s talks and workshops by incredible speakers from all different areas of STEM.
Since X-STEM is designed for students with a strong interest in STEM, educators and parents, I am giving away two sets of two tickets each so a parent can bring a child or a teacher can bring a colleague.
Please note: Winners will be notified on Monday and will receive a redemption code and instructions for personally registering for the X-STEM Symposium that must be completed by April 11.

I always loved Peter Pan because for me it was a story of hope, youth, dreams, and imagination. When I was young I always got so sad during the part where Tinkerbells light began to dim. I hope as I grow older I can keep my youthful light.

When I was little I just wanted to fly like Tinkerbell!
I love the Disney movie but the book has a special place in my heart. I read it to my kids often it is one of their favorite stories. My favorite quote is: “You know that place between sleep and awake, the place where you can still remember dreaming? That’s where I’ll always love you, Peter Pan. That’s where I’ll be waiting.” Classic. Twitter: https://twitter.com/MissBeury/status/452980426412675072
I love Peter Pan because it’s such a great example of pure imagination. Every step of their adventure brings some new twist or turn, it’s so much fun.
I loved seeing Peter Pan at Wolf Trap – and imagine it’ll be a wonderful show at KC. Don’t we all just want to fly?
