Every year around the holidays, our neighborhood suffers a rash of burglaries. Neighbors report that their cars have been rifled through in the middle of the night, items are missing from their yards, and on occasion, homes have been broken into. These unsettling incidences make homeowners feel violated and renew the desire to protect and secure items in and around homes.
This year Master Lock and Sentry Safe want to help. As trusted manufacturers of high quality security products that you can depend on, I’m thrilled to be giving away an incredible set of six different products designed to secure your belongings through the holidays and beyond while you’re at home and away!
Win these 5 items courtesy of Master Lock and Sentry Safe to protect your house this holiday season and beyond!
- Braided Steel Retractable Cable with Set Your Own Combination Lock ($12.23)— This retractable cable lock features a 2’ braided steel cable coated with vinyl to protect against scratches that provides strength and flexibility. Pull out the cable to secure items with a snug fit and then recoil the cable with a single touch thanks to the push button mechanism. This lock is great for securing sports bags, golf bags, skis, bikes, and small items around your yard.
- Luggage Locks— Traveling for the holidays and checking your luggage? You need luggage locks. Set Your Own Combination TSA-Accepted Luggage Lock with Flexible Shackle ($9.21) and Set Your Own Combination TSA-Accepted Luggage Lock (2 pack for $18.91) provide peace of mind that bags won’t be rifled through when checked through to your destination. They’re also great for backpacks, duffel bags, sports bags, briefcases, computer bags, and jewelry and curio cabinets.
- Looped End Cable ($10.18)— This self coiling cable is 6’ long and 3/8” in diameter to secure items such as bicycles, residential gates and fences, grills, lawnmowers, tools, and ladders when used with laminated locks, solid steel locks, and mini-U locks. Use it with padlock or combination locks you already have to keep your belongings safe.
- Portable Mini Safe ($12.83)— This compact portable mini safe is designed to hold keys, cash, jewelry, and other personal items. The 6” cable lanyard loops back over the locking bar so the mini safe can be attached to a fixed object.
- Sentry Safe Digital Alarm Safe ($429)— Nothing can secure valuables better than a home safe. Sentry Safes are designed to protect items in your home from unexpected dangers like fire, water, and burglars. Sentry makes their safes to withstand temperatures ranging from 1150-1850 degrees Fahrenheit, protect your items thanks to various levels of waterproof and water-resistant technology, and survive impact. Sentry Safes are heated and then dropped 15 or 30 feet, cooled, inverted, and reheated to ensure that your contents stay safe. This spring Sentry released a line of digital alarm safes that feature a touch keypad entry and a loud audible alarm. The safe’s alarm will alert its owner in the event the safe is moved, tampered with or five wrong code attempts are entered. If you’ve never shopped for a safe before and aren’t sure what to get, the helpful Find Your Safe feature can assist you in selecting the safe that’s just right for your family’s needs.
This prize pack from Master Lock and Sentry Safe is valued at almost $500 and is designed to protect your family’s belongings this holiday season and throughout the year. To enter, use the Rafflecopter form below!

We family members watch our home and our alarm system set.
If I travel w/belongings that are special to me I make sure to always keep them on my person! At home, we have a “special” place where we keep items!
When traveling I place all important travel docs in the room safe, otherwise it will be in a lockable zippered pocket and when at the beach we bring as little as possible.
We’ve just installed simplisafe, for the entry doors and windows. The stuff that really matters, I take with me.
I have my neighbors look out for suspicious behavior, leave lights on
I don’t travel often but last time I had a friend house sit while I was away.
If we are going to be gone for a good while, I ask my folks to check in every couple of days. We also use a timer to turn our lights on and off periodically.
I try to protect them by hiding them in random places, not sensible.
We have my brother in law stay here at the house. We dont leave often but he watches the house.
We lock the doors and have a dog
We have the neighbors keep a good lookout, and stash the real valuables with other famiy til we get back.
I guess it is a fridge, it was not. sorry
I lock the all the doors and windows and have my dad watch the place!
I am careful with maintaining control of valuables while traveling and securing the hotel room.
Alarm system.house sitter and big German sherpard.
I hide certain things in my home and have my mother check up daily to make sure things are ok
When I travel, I put all of my important items in the room safe. At home, I do not have a safe place for my belongings as of yet.
II would love to get the Agility System by OtterBox for my iPad the year.
All I really do is make sure to lock all the doors.
We protect our home and belongings when traveling by using timers for the inside and outside lights, having a neighbor come by daily to check on the house and get the mail, and we have a alarm system.
We place our important docs in a bank locker.
The usually. Have everything in a safe place, set the random light timers and keep the neighbors aware of when we will be gone and ask them to keep an eye out strange happenings.
Oh we normally do not protect them very well. We try to take everything valuable with us when we leave the room, and keep in a locked truck, but thats just not always possible. We really need to do better!
I have a packet of my most important information that I leave at my parents house when I’m on vacation. Other than that, unfortunately I’m pretty vulnerable. We definitely need to invest in a safe!
I would love to give one of my granddaughters the Laser Maze gift for Christmas this year.
Invest for an alarm safe from sentry safe
I have 2 dogs and my neighbor who takes care of the dogs while they watch the house.
I keep the radio on low and leave a hallway light on when traveling. I also have a friend pick up my mail
Our plan–have a house sitter stay!
Share your plans with your neighbors. You know the good neighbors. 🙂
We have an alarm system and family members always stay in my home.
