Secure Your Home for the Holidays with a Master Lock & Sentry Safe Giveaway!

November 25, 2014 By Leticia

As a member of Master Lock’s Live Secure Safety Squad, I have been compensated for my time in writing this post and receive samples for review.

Every year around the holidays, our neighborhood suffers a rash of burglaries. Neighbors report that their cars have been rifled through in the middle of the night, items are missing from their yards, and on occasion, homes have been broken into. These unsettling incidences make homeowners feel violated and renew the desire to protect and secure items in and around homes.

This year Master Lock and Sentry Safe want to help. As trusted manufacturers of high quality security products that you can depend on, I’m thrilled to be giving away an incredible set of six different products designed to secure your belongings through the holidays and beyond while you’re at home and away!

Secure Your Home for the Holidays w Master Lock & Sentry Safe Giveaway!

Win these 5 items courtesy of Master Lock and Sentry Safe to protect your house this holiday season and beyond!

  • Braided Steel Retractable Cable with Set Your Own Combination Lock ($12.23)— This retractable cable lock features a 2’ braided steel cable coated with vinyl to protect against scratches that provides strength and flexibility. Pull out the cable to secure items with a snug fit and then recoil the cable with a single touch thanks to the push button mechanism. This lock is great for securing sports bags, golf bags, skis, bikes, and small items around your yard.
  • Luggage Locks— Traveling for the holidays and checking your luggage? You need luggage locks. Set Your Own Combination TSA-Accepted Luggage Lock with Flexible Shackle ($9.21) and Set Your Own Combination TSA-Accepted Luggage Lock (2 pack for $18.91) provide peace of mind that bags won’t be rifled through when checked through to your destination. They’re also great for backpacks, duffel bags, sports bags, briefcases, computer bags, and jewelry and curio cabinets.
  • Looped End Cable ($10.18)— This self coiling cable is 6’ long and 3/8” in diameter to secure items such as bicycles, residential gates and fences, grills, lawnmowers, tools, and ladders when used with laminated locks, solid steel locks, and mini-U locks. Use it with padlock or combination locks you already have to keep your belongings safe.
  • Portable Mini Safe ($12.83)— This compact portable mini safe is designed to hold keys, cash, jewelry, and other personal items. The 6” cable lanyard loops back over the locking bar so the mini safe can be attached to a fixed object.
  • Sentry Safe Digital Alarm Safe ($429)— Nothing can secure valuables better than a home safe. Sentry Safes are designed to protect items in your home from unexpected dangers like fire, water, and burglars. Sentry makes their safes to withstand temperatures ranging from 1150-1850 degrees Fahrenheit, protect your items thanks to various levels of waterproof and water-resistant technology, and survive impact. Sentry Safes are heated and then dropped 15 or 30 feet, cooled, inverted, and reheated to ensure that your contents stay safe. This spring Sentry released a line of digital alarm safes that feature a touch keypad entry and a loud audible alarm. The safe’s alarm will alert its owner in the event the safe is moved, tampered with or five wrong code attempts are entered. If you’ve never shopped for a safe before and aren’t sure what to get, the helpful Find Your Safe feature can assist you in selecting the safe that’s just right for your family’s needs.

My best advice to parents of college students? Whe My best advice to parents of college students? When they say “you should come” - GO! ✈️

Over the last 4 years it’s been so wonderful to be invited for glimpses of Emily’s life on campus. I’ve been welcomed by her amazing friends who have become part of our family, met the professors, faculty & staff she talks so fondly of, and gotten to know fellow parents through trips to Family Weekend all while enjoying time with my best girl. 💕

Today I’m heading home as a proud mom with a full heart for all that I’ve experienced on campus during her college years and am in disbelief I’ll be back for graduation next week. 🥹

I continue to be in awe that we put something in space that existed up there for 5 months. 🥰 Our CubeSat took photos 📸 and tweeted 🐦‍⬛them out as we hoped it would thanks to the many students (and parents!) who have been involved in our meaningful real-world hands-on STEM project that enabled them to learn about technology and space over the past 11 years.

I found some old notes from a 2015 meeting and under Questions, I wrote: “If we are successful, would we do this again?”

And the answer is yes! 🎉 Here’s to SilverSat 2.0 and involving more kids to dream up a new mission for our next Silver Spring CubeSat! 💕

Happy #MedalMonday to everyone who ran a race over Happy #MedalMonday to everyone who ran a race over the weekend and is adding new race bling to their collection! 🎉 I did a thing this weekend too but it didn’t involve another race! 😂Here’s the before, swipe ⬅️ for the after!

Inspired by seeing @allytbrett_runs ’s race medals, I did a little medal reorg that makes my OCD self happy. 🙌🏼Pro tip- Instead of sliding the bar of the medal rack through the ribbon, I looped the ribbon around the bar so all the medals face forward! This small thing made a huge difference and makes me happy every time I walk into my office!💕

My next race is the 25th anniversary @stjude Memphis Marathon Weekend on December 5th. I’m thinking this anniversary year medal will be the start of a new medal rack, just like my 15th anniversary medal started this collection.🫶🏼

If you want to run Memphis with me, race registration is open! Comment Memphis and I’ll DM you the registration link and happy to answer any and all race ❓s!

Race medals are great but charity bling is better! Race medals are great but charity bling is better! 🏅When I first started running for @stjude 10 years ago, I thought I’d be one and done but here I am- 15 races later and having raised almost $50,000! 🎉

The goal has always been to help end childhood cancer and I feel so fortunate to have met the most amazing people along the way. My fellow @stjudedc Hero Ambassadors are a group of dedicated baddies who I adore. 🥰

We cheer for each other on and off the course and as my friend & fellow DC Hero Ambassador @jess_santora says, “My goal was never just to reach the finish line- it was to help more people get there too.” 🏃🏻‍♀️

Here’s to more races, more money raised for St. Jude, and forever friendships! Already excited (and fundraising) for St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend this December. ✨Fundraising link in bio and donations of any amount are appreciated to help me reach my $4,000 goal! 🙏🏼

I am so proud of each and every one of us and especially incredibly grateful that OTFSS members said yes to running today! 🥰

We fundraised, trained, and ran to give families hope that their kids will survive childhood cancer and to support researchers as they work towards a cure for childhood cancer and other life threatening diseases. 💕

As a mom of 2, I know no parent should ever have to hear “your child has cancer” so thank you Team OTFSS for supporting St. Jude’s mission by running the streets of DC! We did it and I’m already looking forward to next year’s RNR DC race so we can do it again!🧡🧡🧡
