As summer ends and school begins, each child confronts a new grade level that brings with it new challenges and learning, including social and emotional learning that occurs at each age. But not every child learns the same way. Some kids may excel at paper and pencil tasks while others need visual representations and sit alongside classmates who benefit from audio stimulation or hands-on activities. And all kids need time to synthesize new knowledge with existing learning to figure out what they do and don’t know.
Learning is a process.
Some kids need concepts to be reinforced by quality programming and there is no shortage of shows on Netflix that can help solidify topics learned in class. From fostering a lifelong love of reading, exposing kids to new STEM topics, developing a deeper interest in music, as well as teaching essential social and emotional skills, Netflix can be a great tool for learning. Here are some roundups I’ve done in past years that I thought I would compile and share to help you and your family transition back to school.
