As middle school students, our kids spend so much time reading books that aren’t of their choosing. English teachers hand them books that are part of required reading and we know that not all of what they’re assigned resonates with them. But now that it’s (almost) summer, you can help them rediscover reading for pleasure. Love it- my daughter loves book with lots of illustrations and is a fan of Dork Diaries
I think the different writing/presentation style would engage my son who is an avid reader.
My nephew is quite a reader. I don’t know if he is familiar with these books or characters, but they sound like fun, so I think he’d like them.

A favorite book of some of my tweens is the 13th Story Treehouse.
My son is 10 and he loves Dogman books, and Captain Underpants books but he’s not read these. I think he would enjoy these.
My daughter loves this series and enjoys the authors dork diaries series, but I am not sure why
I think my son will like it because it talks about the ups and downs at school.
My granddaughter is starting middle school so I thjink she is the perfect age for these books, especiall y Middle School Mayhem.
