Simon & Schuster is partnering with me for this giveaway
As middle school students, our kids spend so much time reading books that aren’t of their choosing. English teachers hand them books that are part of required reading and we know that not all of what they’re assigned resonates with them. But now that it’s (almost) summer, you can help them rediscover reading for pleasure. Reading for pleasure prevents the dreaded summer slide but if the idea of choosing a book is overwhelming because your tween or teen hasn’t done it in months, check out The Misadventures of Max Crumbly. Perfect for ages 9-13, the first two books, Locker Hero and Middle School Mayhem, are in stores now and the third Max Crumbly book: Masters of Mischief comes out tomorrow (June 4). Continue reading for more information about the series and to enter to win the trilogy below!
About The Misadventures of Max Crumbly
New from #1 bestselling Dork Diaries author Rachel Renée Russell, The Misadventures of Max Crumbly series follows the adventures of undercover middle school hero, Max Crumbly. Written in diary format and set in the world of Dork Diaries, The Misadventures of Max Crumbly stars Max Crumbly, friend to Nikki Maxwell of Dork Diaries, who goes to a different school and manages to get into a whole lot of trouble.
In the beginning of the series, Max starts at a new middle school and faces the school bully who has begun a habit of stuffing Max into his locker. Max wants nothing more than to be like his comic superhero idols and though his ability to smell pizza from a block away isn’t exactly a superpower, he’s still going to try to be the hero his school needs!
About The Misadventures of Max Crumbly #3: Masters of Mischief
The third Max Crumbly book: Masters of Mischief continues to tell the story of Max’s daily ups and downs in middle school. It continues where the last two books left off – with Max Crumbly, and his trusty sidekick Erin, having just foiled the plans of bumbling thieves. They were trapped in a smelly, dangerous dumpster of doom and about to be discovered by the last people they wanted to find them.
Young readers will love the continued misadventures of Max and Erin as they face foes — both new and old—as they try to avoid detection—and detention!—while keeping South Ridge Middle School safe from bullies and criminals?

The series is written in diary format with illustrations and doodles of Max’s mishaps that is sure to appeal to older elementary and middle school age kids as a summer read.
