This Vejo review is sponsored but all opinions are my own
At a time when we’re balancing work, trying to manage a household, and adjusting to a new virtual school year, it’s easy to forget to take care of ourselves. Sleep, exercise, and personal nutrition tend to fall by the wayside as we adjust to changes in our lives. If you’re still struggling to transform your health and nutrition, Vejo can help.
Vejo Review: Portable Pod-Based Blender
We’re all familiar with pod-based coffee systems but Vejo is a portable blender whose healthy blends come in a pod. Vejo’s 22 different blends are thoughtfully formulated to make it easier to bring proper nutrition into your daily life. Each blend contains up to 50% of your daily recommended fruits and vegetables.

Ingredients in the Vejo Pacific Northwest Tart Berry Juice Blend
Vejo’s daily blends contain real fruits and vegetables that are picked at peak ripeness and then freeze-dried into a powder. Their protein, performance and functional blends also include protein powders, herbs, spices, vitamins and minerals to help you perform at your very best. Most blends are sweetened only by their natural fruit ingredients but some do contain Stevia.
Getting Started with Vejo
The Vejo blender, charger, and blends you chose as part of your Starter Kit come nicely packaged in a sturdy box that makes for a satisfying unboxing experience.
Once you unpack the box, plug the black charging capsule using the enclosed USB-C cord and place it inside the cap.
Unfortunately, instant gratification can’t be had right out of the box since the charging capsule needs to charge for at least two hours before you can make your first Vejo blend.
The charging capsule will flash orange while charging and will turn green once fully charged. Once charged, remove it and choose your first blend.
Making My First Blend
My Starter Kit came with 2 of each the Banana Almond, Piña Greens, Clean Greens, and Tart Berry flavors. Making Piña Greens (organic mango, pineapple, banana, and spinach) as my first blend couldn’t have been easier.
I filled my Vejo up to the fill line indicated under the lip just inside of the blender using cold water from my refrigerator. The blender holds about 8 ounces of water or you can also choose to enhance the flavors using other liquids like oat milk, vanilla almond milk, liquid yogurt, or macadamia nut milk. Check out other flavor combinations here.
Removed the top of the Piña Greens.
Placed the Piña Greens pod upside down on top of my blender.
Screwed on the top until it clicked.
Vejo started blending automatically and after about 30 seconds, the light on the top of the container turned green to indicate my blend was ready.
I unscrewed the lid and removed the pod. It helped knowing Vejo pods are made from corn and other biodegradable, renewable components because I felt less guilty about throwing it away.
My blend was ready to sip right from the blender container but put it in a glass so you could take a look at the finished product.
When I was done, I just rinsed out the blender container, gave it a scrub with the brush that Vejo sent, and let it air dry until I was ready to make my next blend.
Trying Piña Greens & Banana Almond Blends
I’m a big fan of juices, especially bright, clean flavors so I honestly wasn’t sure what I’d think of Piña Greens because of the banana. Usually when juices contain banana, I find them to be too banana heavy. Perhaps it’s because bananas are cheap and other brands like to use them as a filler but thankfully not Vejo!
The Piña Greens flavors were balanced between the organic mango, pineapple, banana, and spinach. I might even go as far as to say the banana took a backstage to the other 3 ingredients!
Encouraged by the subtleness of the banana, I took a risk and chose Banana Almond as my next blend. Banana Almond is considered a protein blend because it contains 7 grams of protein thanks to dietary fibers contained within.
One sip and I was sold on this blend too! Bananas, almonds, and spices like vanilla and cinnamon come together nicely in this blend that is more hearty than the Piña Greens and other Daily blends, making it a satisfying choice for after my workouts or runs.
Enjoying both of my Vejo blends made me excited to try out the Tart Cherry and Clean Greens flavors that came with my Starter Kit. I’m also looking forward to trying out the Clean Greens.
Vejo Smart Blender App
Vejo has a companion app for iOS and Android that syncs to your Vejo blender via Bluetooth. It enables you to track your blends, learn more about their ingredients and benefits, set drink reminders, order more of your favorite blends, check the battery life, and download blender updates.
It’s not required that you download the Vejo app for your blender to work and while tracking your blend habits and setting reminders to make your favorite blend may not seem useful, the firmware updates are.
Vejo pushes updates to their smart blender through the app. The most recent firmware update in March improved connectivity and battery life so Vejo can blend up to 30 times on a single charge.
So while it may not seem so useful to track drinks, set reminders, and be able to order more pods through the app, the best performance will come when you connect your Vejo to the app.
Vejo Review Summary
Vejo is a premium product with high quality blends that are delicious and satisfying.
With 22 different blends, Vejo offers a plenty of flavors to suit your mood or nutritional needs in convenient ready-to-use pods. It’s much easier to pop a pod into your Vejo than to assemble a bunch of ingredients, prep them, blend them, and have to clean up the blender and counter from your juice and smoothie making adventure but convenience does come at a price.
The Vejo Starter Kit is $130 and contains a Vejo blender plus 8 blends. This may or may not be a good deal depending on your history of buying juices.
Regular juice and smoothie fans who spend $7-10 on fresh pressed juices will find this to be a great deal since the Starter Kit equates to about 13 juices from your favorite juice bar.
All 22 Vejo blends come in 8 or 30 packs. Those who plan to use Vejo daily will find it more cost effective to purchase monthly subscriptions at a savings of 10-20% on favorite flavors. Even if you’re an occasional juice consumer, you may not find the initial spend worth it but it will be worth it over time.
In a coronavirus world where we’re all working and learning from home, Vejo makes it easy to increase our daily intake of fruits and vegetables as we work to reclaim our nutrition. The brightly colored and attractive design of the canister will certainly get noticed on your desk during Zoom calls!
Vejo would also be great for:
- Families whose kids have different flavor preferences
- Busy parents who are looking to re-fuel on the go after a midday workout
- College students wanting a healthy late night option while studying
- Teachers who barely have a chance to grab a bite between classes
Vejo Bonus for Tech Savvy Mama Readers!
