If you were in the DC Metro Area this weekend you know it was hot. Really hot. And steamy too. But 13 DC Metro Mom bloggers sucked it up for a good cause and completed the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday.
While I wasn’t a fan of the high temps and humidity, it was great to get out and walk for a cause that affects so many women with some of my favorite bloggers. For a few hours we abandoned our virtual friendships based on reading each other’s blogs, e-mails, and Tweets to have real face to face conversations among 45,000 others racing for the cure.
Nancy, Julie, Sandie, Jessica, Robin, Jodi, Jean, Linda, Jess, MamaBird, Devra, and Andrea… You are incredible company during a sweltering walk. I’d walk with you anywhere. Especially towards a brunch that includes lots of bacon and bloody marys!
Many thanks to friends and family who supported me in the Race for the Cure by clicking on the little button to the right of this post to make donations. Michelle, Katrina, Alison, Caroline, Uncle Jim and Aunt Karen- thank you! You were among the many donors who helped surpass the National Race for the Cure Goal of 3 million dollars benefitting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation!
And if you haven’t yet donated but still want to, please feel free to make an online contribution for the Susan J. Komen Race for the Cure by clicking here.

I had a great time too. I always love chatting with you and all the other women in person!
Loved walking (and talking) with you, too!
I’m so glad I got to experience the walk with everyone. My recap will be up tomorrow.
It was great to meet you, Leticia! See you at BlogHer!
Does this mean we belong to the hot moms club?
