July Perfect Post Award: Looking for Balance by Greeblemonkey

This month I’m honoring Aimee Greeblemonkey at Greeblemonkey with the July Perfect Post Award. Aimee is a fellow Being Savvy City Editor who I recently had the pleasure of literally running into at BlogHer. She has her own blog, writes for Denver Mile High Mamas, works full time, is a wife, and is also a mom to an adorable little boy.

I know a lot of multitasking moms in the blogging world but Aimee’s Looking for Balance post struck a chord with me. At the time I read it, I was writing tons of Being Savvy pieces to put in the queue before heading to BlogHer, trying to pack a family for a trip to California, and do a million other things pre-vacation. And in the back of my head the thought of going back to work was looming since upon returning from California, I would only have 3 more weeks of summer left since I unexpectedly fell into a fabulous part time non-blogging job.

Thoughts of how to balance my new job, parenting, and blogging have definitely been on my mind and the questions Aimee posed on her posts were certainly on my mind. She asked, “How do you balance your blog with real life?” Since I had nothing to add about balance, I’ve read the comments from Aimee’s readers but not actually commented myself. So in lieu of a comment, I’m bestowing July’s Perfect Post Award on Aimee.

And to Aimee- Had we had more than a few seconds to say hi to each other before running off to our next destination at BlogHer, I would have remembered to say what an awesome piece you wrote and ask you if you had found a better balance.
