As a family, we’ve enjoyed live theater performances including those at our local children’s theater as well as The Washington Ballet’s Nutcracker, Mary Poppins, Stomp, and I’m so excited to take Little Miss Techie and Captain Computer to see Blue Man Group at the Warner Theater. A Blue Man Group performance is unlike anything you have ever seen and a show you have to see to believe. I’ve been to two of their shows and have loved each one.
If you aren’t familiar with Blue Man Group, they’re best known for their wildly popular theatrical shows and concerts which combine music, comedy and multimedia theatrics to produce a totally unique form of entertainment.
Imagine three blue-headed men clad in black shirts and pants using non-verbal communication throughout the performance to entertain and awe. It is a stunning show for people of all ages, languages, and cultures. Take a look!
The use of pipes as a musical instrument has always been one of my favorite parts of the performance. It’s an innovative use of plastic plumbing materials and a study in the science of sound.
I know it will inspire Little Miss Techie and Captain Computer after the performance much like Stomp did and am fully prepared to make a trip to Home Depot following the performance to pick up plastic pipes and fittings so the kids can recreate this in our yard!

I think I’d take my 5y.o. I know it would be a late night for her but I think she’d LOVE this kind of performance. Once in a while, I think it’s okay to sleep in and miss a morning of preschool : )
i would take my hubby or 5yo. Lucas would love it, but it might be a litle too late.

I would definitely take my husband to this- we are in serious need of a date night!
Having to use my Mom’s account (as my school account keeps getting refused by your site) – I am happy to say THANKS MOM! The metro will take a very good friend (date night) and me from our college campus to the event for a much needed evening out on the town. What better way to help this relationship get stronger than to have a GREAT concert to attend thanks to a win – knowing that we are both starving students. This will be a much needed break for the both of us – to put academics aside – thanks for this opportunity.
Just tweeted. 🙂
I’d take my husband to the show this week if I win the tickets.
Thanks for a great giveaway… hubby and I would love a date night!
