In the heat of summer, the allure of something new can serve as the incentive to leave the air conditioned comfort of the indoors and heat outside…at least for a little while!
The Zing Z-Curve Bow ($22.13 from Amazon) was one of my favorite products from this spring’s Time to Play Showcase. Having been a huge fan of Nerf Dart Guns for study break warfare in college, the Z Curve Bow definitely captured my attention. The foam or suction cup tipped arrows for this crossbow make it relatively safe for misfires at windows, a sibling, or a family dog. It’s easy to operate thanks to two rubberized loops that the Zing darts hook into and even Captain Computer’s smaller hands can operate it with ease. With a range of over 100 feet, any time playing with the Z-Curve Bow can tire kids out as they run around the yard fetching darts. If you’re concerned about the safety of the Z-Curve, listen to what Time to Play’s toy expert, Chris Byrne, has to say about it.
Nothing beats the summer heat better than some water play. Whether at the pool or in the backyard, the Max Liquidator Eliminator ($7.97 for one through Amazon) is a must-have. When the Max Liquidator Eliminators started showing up at our pool, Captain Computer looked longingly at those in the hands of others so one day when I was out at Target, we picked up a 2-pack to surprise him. The Max Liquidator Eliminator is a constant companion at the pool. Stick one end in the water while drawing the other end up and if you’re on the receiving end, it’s best to grab a kickboard for cover! Having 2 in our pool bag is great because there’s always one to share with a buddy or the other child who longingly looks at his. And here’s a tip- if you fear that yours won’t make it home, a single Mabel’s Labels colorful shoe label fits perfectly on the end and are easy to spot even across the pool. Personally purchased
A family who bikes together stays together and needs MasterLock Python ($15.25 from Amazon) to keep their rides secure during summer outings. With a 6 foot long cable, Python allows a family to lock multiple bikes together. We’ve locked an adult bike to two kid bikes or the frames and wheels of two adult bikes together. I appreciate that having a longer lock minimizes stuff we need to bring on our family bike rides and also the cinch-able cable allows you to tighten the lock around your belongings which makes it more difficult to slip a set of bolt cutters underneath. And kids will love that the lock actually looks like a Python thanks to the snake shaped head!
I received samples of the Zing Z-Curve Bow and MasterLock Python but personally purchased the Max Liquidator Eliminators. I am a Mabel’s Labels BuzzMama and love finding new ways to use their labels and sharing them with others. Amazon affiliate links contained in this post. All opinions are my own.
