I’ve always believed that each person learns in a different way. While some may be paper and pencil learners, others are more visual while certain people learn by doing. For those who learn by doing, Bold Earth Teen Adventures offers multi-sport summer programs for high school students ages 11-18 that incorporate community service projects.
Bold Earth trips go through the USA, Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America. Student travel opportunities range from surfing in Hawaii to climbing in Colorado to volunteering in Costa Rica to eating crepes in Paris to perfecting your Spanish in Spain! Every trip has small, tight-knit groups of 12-16 students with 2-3 leaders, featuring adventure, service, challenge and fun experience designed with teens in mind.
I love the community service component to Bold Earth’s adventures that provide hands on learning to tweens and teens as they learn more about the areas they visit while making a difference.
Vote for the 2011 Bold Earth charity recipient for a chance to win a trip worth $5000!
Since Bold Earth teens work on a variety of service projects, they need your help selecting the community service project you think should receive their 2011 charity donation.
Vote for one of the three organizations below to be awarded this year’s funds and have the opportunity win a Bold Earth Teen Adventures for your son or daughter that has a value of $5,000!
- The Colorado Fourteeners Initiative
- Ecuador Niños De La Calle (children of the street)
- The Amazon Conservation Project
Voting is simple! Just visit Bold Earth’s voting page, type in your name, email, and blog you came from (Tech Savvy Mama!), and select one of the three organizations to be entered to win!
No compensation was received for this post however as a thank you for sharing this with you, Bold Earth is donating 500 pineapple seedlings (about 2 rows) in my name to a pineapple farm in the small village of Tui, Tai Fiji that their teens work with during the summer. This small village counts on the pineapple farm for their livelihood and we’re excited to contribute to their cause. Pretty cool, right?

I hope you have some packages for adults as well? I would like to use your services to plan an outing with friends. Recreational trips to beautiful and pure natural places do good to ones health.
