MomAgenda Spiral Refill and Folio Cover: My Paper Calendar Pick (w. giveaway)

August 27, 2012 By Leticia

I’m often asked how I stay organized. 3 words: momAgenda Spiral Refill. Back to school time means getting organized and despite my love of technology, my trusty calendar has always been the Spiral Refill from momAgenda!
Just some of my Spiral Refills from past years.
And yes, really I do save my personal calendars!

Affordably priced at $24, the Spiral Refill has all the great features that momAgenda is known for but comes in a convenient size (7” x 9”) that sits flat thanks to the spiral that also serves as the perfect place to house a pencil or pen.

This year I’m using my Spiral Refill differently than I have in the past. It’s always been our family calendar but due to the need to have an online shared calendar that can be easily accessed and updated on the go and through the cloud, my momAgenda Spiral Refill has become my work calendar.
The top half of the calendar is perfect for work calls, appointments, and dates and times I’m volunteering in the kids’ classrooms.
The day’s appointments and calls go in the top section
The bottom section features a place for up to 4 schedules and while those areas used to be the place where I wrote in after school activities, doctor’s appointments, and my husband’s travel schedule, I now use them to keep track of work commitments.
Hmmm. I must consider my blogs my children!
My editorial calendar for this site, posts I’m planning for my Tech Savvy Parents column over on Parents.com, and milestones for projects with Clever Girls Collective each have their own row so each day’s commitments can be easily seen in the column!
I love that the momAgenda Spiral Refill calendar runs through the academic year meaning that it starts in August 2012 and runs through December 2013, mirroring the school calendar!  There are the weekly views pictured above but there’s also a monthly view.
It’s the perfect size to sit on my desk or to tuck in my bag when traveling and the durable plastic cover ensures that it will last the whole year and beyond. I’ve traveled with mine endlessly and recently added the Refillable Folio Cover that I wish I had gotten sooner!
Spiral Refill inside the Refillable Folio Cover
The Refillable Folio Cover ($24.95) is specifically designed for the Spiral Collection and is made of beautiful Italian faux leather. I have the shimmering pink but it also comes in shimmering spring green or shimmering smokey gray. The colors are beautiful and all would be a great addition to the Spiral Refill.

I love the weekly family planner pad – We are a family of five and it has enough room so we can all see what is up for the week as well as “What’s for dinner” I bought it at staples and then have checked the website regularly for new products. I wish I knew how to tweet… gymmomto3@charter.net

This pink folio would protect my life’s plans. I really need a bright color so I can always locate it. If I can’t find my agenda planner I am lost because it is where I record all my future bill payments,, my job interviews all important dates/tasks and I also keep track of mileage for physical therapy and my many medical appointments. Without this beautiful pink folio my whole life would get worn & torn without it’s protection.

[…] I found that using the top half to keep track of work calls, appointments, and dates and times I’m volunteering in the kids’ classrooms worked well. Having the bottom portion to note kids’ schedules along with my editorial calendars for Parents.com, Babble Tech, and my own site keeps me organized by allowing me to see my work commitments and plan my week accordingly. My best advice to parents of college students? Whe My best advice to parents of college students? When they say “you should come” - GO! ✈️

Over the last 4 years it’s been so wonderful to be invited for glimpses of Emily’s life on campus. I’ve been welcomed by her amazing friends who have become part of our family, met the professors, faculty & staff she talks so fondly of, and gotten to know fellow parents through trips to Family Weekend all while enjoying time with my best girl. 💕

Today I’m heading home as a proud mom with a full heart for all that I’ve experienced on campus during her college years and am in disbelief I’ll be back for graduation next week. 🥹

I continue to be in awe that we put something in space that existed up there for 5 months. 🥰 Our CubeSat took photos 📸 and tweeted 🐦‍⬛them out as we hoped it would thanks to the many students (and parents!) who have been involved in our meaningful real-world hands-on STEM project that enabled them to learn about technology and space over the past 11 years.

I found some old notes from a 2015 meeting and under Questions, I wrote: “If we are successful, would we do this again?”

And the answer is yes! 🎉 Here’s to SilverSat 2.0 and involving more kids to dream up a new mission for our next Silver Spring CubeSat! 💕

Happy #MedalMonday to everyone who ran a race over Happy #MedalMonday to everyone who ran a race over the weekend and is adding new race bling to their collection! 🎉 I did a thing this weekend too but it didn’t involve another race! 😂Here’s the before, swipe ⬅️ for the after!

Inspired by seeing @allytbrett_runs ’s race medals, I did a little medal reorg that makes my OCD self happy. 🙌🏼Pro tip- Instead of sliding the bar of the medal rack through the ribbon, I looped the ribbon around the bar so all the medals face forward! This small thing made a huge difference and makes me happy every time I walk into my office!💕

My next race is the 25th anniversary @stjude Memphis Marathon Weekend on December 5th. I’m thinking this anniversary year medal will be the start of a new medal rack, just like my 15th anniversary medal started this collection.🫶🏼

If you want to run Memphis with me, race registration is open! Comment Memphis and I’ll DM you the registration link and happy to answer any and all race ❓s!

Race medals are great but charity bling is better! Race medals are great but charity bling is better! 🏅When I first started running for @stjude 10 years ago, I thought I’d be one and done but here I am- 15 races later and having raised almost $50,000! 🎉

The goal has always been to help end childhood cancer and I feel so fortunate to have met the most amazing people along the way. My fellow @stjudedc Hero Ambassadors are a group of dedicated baddies who I adore. 🥰

We cheer for each other on and off the course and as my friend & fellow DC Hero Ambassador @jess_santora says, “My goal was never just to reach the finish line- it was to help more people get there too.” 🏃🏻‍♀️

Here’s to more races, more money raised for St. Jude, and forever friendships! Already excited (and fundraising) for St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend this December. ✨Fundraising link in bio and donations of any amount are appreciated to help me reach my $4,000 goal! 🙏🏼

I am so proud of each and every one of us and especially incredibly grateful that OTFSS members said yes to running today! 🥰

We fundraised, trained, and ran to give families hope that their kids will survive childhood cancer and to support researchers as they work towards a cure for childhood cancer and other life threatening diseases. 💕

As a mom of 2, I know no parent should ever have to hear “your child has cancer” so thank you Team OTFSS for supporting St. Jude’s mission by running the streets of DC! We did it and I’m already looking forward to next year’s RNR DC race so we can do it again!🧡🧡🧡
