One of the most challenging tasks as parents is to document all of the wonderful moments and milestones of our children’s lives before they’re forgotten. Ragu invites parents to create their own video using their new Give ‘Em Ragu app for iPhone, Android, and Facebook to capture the joys and horrors of family life to star in their very own commercial on the Ragu Facebook page as part of their Long Day of Childhood campaign.
We know how long each and every day can be and while it’s filled with rewards, there are some days that are just plain long and bedtime can’t come soon enough. Through the Give ‘Em Ragu app, parents can create their own child’s story about the day to share with friends and family.
The Give ‘Em Ragu app is fun and easy to use. It allows parents to create video quickly by capturing photos and video from your phone, selecting among clips or pictures already on your phone, or pulling from content already on your Facebook page.
After selecting the source of your content, type in a short blurb as your video’s title, and the app will include the Ragu jingle in your preview before you save it Facebook or YouTube for immediate sharing.
If you don’t like the preview, go back and edit it to perfection!
Since Ragu selects fan submissions to include on their Facebook page, there’s a chance that your video could get seen by their million plus fans! Ragu doesn’t attach any personal information to your video if it is selected but ensure your family’s privacy by keeping these tips in mind when creating your video for the Long Day of Childhood campaign:
- Ensure that there isn’t any identifying information in the background of your photos or video that could provide your home address.
- Don’t include any photos of your child wearing a shirt containing the name of their school.
- If you prefer that your child remains anonymous, avoid saying their name in the video you upload.
