Last month I had to pass up a chance to visit DreamWorks to learn about The Croods and learn from those who worked so closely on DreamWorks Animation’s newest feature film. As painful as it was, I’ve loved living vicariously through others to get the inside scoop about this movie from friends such as Mommy Niri who shared quotes about each character from James Baxter, Head of Character Animation, a behind the scenes look at animation from Stacey over at Tree, Root, and Twig, and 5 Minutes for Mom’s Amanda Henson who discusses the family aspects and advises movie-goers to bring tissues.
About The Croods
The Croods follows the world’s first modern family as they embark on a journey of a lifetime when the cave that has always been their home is destroyed. The 3D comedy adventure follows the Croods through generational clashes, seismic shifts, and the discovery of an incredible new world filled with fantastic creatures. The experiences change the family’s outlook on life forever. It features the voices of Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke and Cloris Leachman.
If your kids can’t get enough of The Croods after seeing it when it comes to theaters on Friday, March 22, there are some great new games to accompany the movie.
The Croods Mobile Game: Free for iOS and Android
Combining forces with Rovio, the creator of Angry Birds, DreamWorks created The Croods Mobile Game.
The fun and visually stunning new mobile game challenges players to trap and tame 10 creatures that are like a science project gone awry. The whole family will be challenged as they try to trap the Girelephant or Molarbear, create wacky inventions with Grug to open and explore new areas, and have fun decorating your pre-historic world with the latest in caveman fashion accessories.
