Secure Your Laptop & Mobile Devices with Master Lock Safe Space Laptop Lock {sponsored giveaway}

October 19, 2013 By Leticia

Secure Your Laptop & Mobile Devices with Master Lock Safe Space Laptop Lock

If you are the parent of a college student, did you send them back to school with a laptop or mobile device? If you did, they’re among the 70% of college students with devices that are the most stolen items on college campuses. 1 laptop is stolen every 53 seconds! Laptops and smartphones are easy targets because they’re small, portable, easy to disguise because almost everyone has one, and can be easily resold for a high dollar amount.

Protect your investment with the 2120DWD Set-Your-Own Combination SafeSpaceTM Laptop Computer Lock ($19.99) from Master Lock. It secures your laptop easily and quickly whether studying in your dorm room, using it in the library, or using it to catch up with social networks while dining in the campus cafe. The SafeSpace Laptop Computer allows students to walk away from their laptops without their laptops “walking away” from them thanks to a strong, self-coiling cable, trusted dial locking mechanism and durable metal construction helps protect valuable electronics and ultimate personalization with more than 10,000 numeric or alpha combination possibilities adds extra security.

Even with a secured laptop, it’s important to secure private information. Connecting through public wifi networks, leaving sensitive documents such as bank statements or credit card statements lying around in your room, and retrieving paperwork via the campus mail room puts any student at risk for identity theft. Master Lock Vault helps protect student information by serving as a free digital safe deposit box that offers convenient storage and industry-leading security. One password to unlocks user names, passwords, lock combinations, account information, and digital documents. Students can even program important reminder notifications and enjoy 24/7 access via smart phone app or website, available at www.MasterLockVault.com.

Win a 2120DWD Set-Your-Own Combination SafeSpaceTM Laptop Computer Lock and a $10 Visa gift card courtesy of Master Lock!

    We use passwords to prevent unauthorized use but no lock to physically secure our laptops. I’d love to own this one.

    When I was younger and had a lot of friends and friends of friends coming and going and couch surfing at my place, I was very careful about keeping my laptop locked to my desk. I laughed it off, but there were a few ‘friends’ I wasn’t sure I could trust 100%. These days, though, I don’t do much to secure my devices. I do use a pass code for my iPad and iPhones, etc., but that’s it.

Today we’re celebrating National Rescue Dog Day Today we’re celebrating National Rescue Dog Day because we’re so glad Goldie and Murphy are part of our family! 🐶 We gave Goldie her forever home when she was 6 months old. She had been given up by her original family because she was just too much for them. She was an enthusiastic pup who loved to jump straight up in the air when she got excited and she used to hop the fence in the mornings to go visit her best dog friend, Katy, over our back fence. She still jumps from standing when she sees a deer, meets a favorite dog friend, or gets a visit from @lisatasch but now at age 5, she’s more calm and forever faithful. 🦮We met Murphy and his 9 brothers and sisters just days after he was born although we didn’t know he would be the puppy we’d claim as ours. Murphy has that puppy energy but in his quiet moments is a total love bug. He hogs the free space in our king bed (he even has his own pillow!) and loves nothing more than to press his body into me or lie directly on me. 🐾 Goldie and Murphy came to us through @labrescuelrcp and we couldn’t be happier that they’re part of our family! ❤️ #rescuedogday #labrescue #labrador #adoptdontshop
After 3 days at St. Jude Children’s Research Hos After 3 days at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, I’m leaving Memphis so very grateful to be able to support St. Jude’s mission of working to end childhood cancer. ❤️ Spending time connecting, brainstorming, and absorbing the wisdom of fellow Hero Ambassadors from around the country was inspiring because the work we do fundraising through our endurance events helps St. Jude do the incredible work they do to ensure families never receive a bill for their child’s treatment, housing, travel, or food and continue important research that will continue to reduce rates of pediatric cancer and other childhood diseases. I am so looking forward to running in Memphis again this December! 🎉 If you’ve ever thought of running a race that does so much good in the world, join me! I’d love to have you come to Memphis and run with me! Or you can always donate through the fundraising link in my bio. ❤️ #stjude #stjudeheroes #memphis #stjudedmv
