When Lenovo sent me to CES, I traveled with my new Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8 and found that it was a great portable solution for working on the go but also for uploading and sharing photos taken with my Samsung NX300 immediately. My best solution always has been to take photos with my smartphone for immediate sharing and then also with my mirrorless camera for higher resolution images that I want to go back to edit and possibly print. It’s easy to see how I’ve been filling up my hard drive with double shots of everything since I didn’t have an effective workflow.
Since the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8 is an Android tablet, I downloaded the free Samsung Smart Camera App (available for Android or iOS) to wirelessly transfer photos from my Samsung NX300 camera with the Mobile Link feature. By opening Mobile Link on my NX300, I can create a private wifi connection between my camera and my Yoga Tablet to seamlessly transfer photos between the two.
Here’s a quick look at how it works via Instagram video!
Transferring photos is quick and easy. I love being able to upload them directly to Instagram or Facebook to share or opening them in Snapseed and editing them before posting them.
Another great thing about using the Yoga Tablet with the Samsung NX300 is that Android tablets remember the connection from the first time you set it up and will automatically find the camera once you turn on Mobile Link!
Ah, finally a camera to tablet solution that allows me to upload, edit, and share photos more effectively and quickly! Since the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8 is the perfect size for traveling with, I have a feeling I’ll be tucking it in my bag and taking it lots more places along with my Samsung NX300 camera!

[…] Samsung NX30 or NX300 for brilliant photos($999 and $499, respectively)— These days I get a lot of comments about the gorgeous images I’ve been featuring on Facebook and Instagram and I give all the credit to my NX30 and NX300, SMART cameras that take truly stunning images, comfortable to hold in my hand, and makes uploading to different devices easy. I love the leather wrapped look of my brown NX300 and like to pair it with the new 30mm lens to keep in my purse to capture those important moments. The more bigger-bodied NX30 is an ergonomic choice for days where I constantly have my camera out and need the 18-200mm lens for ultimate flexibility when capturing images on the go. Both are great choices for mom who is looking to upgrade from her point-and-shot since even taking photos on the auto setting yields great results. If money is no object, splurge and make the investment in the NX30. You also won’t regret the NX300 as a more budget friendly option. For examples of images I’ve taken with the NX30, visit my Rio2 World Premiere and Celebrity Photos Through the Lens of my Samsung NX30 Mirrorless Camera post. You can also get a glimpse of how easy it is to upload and share photos through the SMART camera features through this post with Instagram video. […]
